Veera escorted Kelri to her exit, then returned to her apartment. Her heart fluttered. The world of possibilities before her was fantastical. The extent of the rabbit hole wasn't clear, but she knew someone who had answers.
She collapsed onto her couch and rubbed her flat stomach before finally typing out her message to the Secret Advisor. "All this time? You've liked fat women and bellies all this time? Never once when I was poo pooing myself with jokes about getting fat you said anything? But you would have been completely on board? Not only that, but you've been encouraging other people too?"
The Secret Advisor was quick to respond. "When you talk about what you liked in a more solid way, I thought it was time to come clean. I hope you're not upset. My concern was always about how you were doing as a person. I wanted to make sure you were safe and happy. You're right. I've hidden stuff. I'm something of a social influencer too. Though not famous, and not nearly as good at it as you."
Veera sighed and replied. "I'm not angry. I just wish I knew all this before!"
"I'm sorry if I mistimed anything. How did your meeting with Kelri go?"
"That is another thing entirely... It went really well? I might have been more mad if it had been disappointing."
"For awhile, I've thought you'd get along."
"She said some things about you. Talked about hacking and other stuff... What exactly are you after? It's clear you have some other goal - even if you're my friend."
"You're right. It would be silly to lie about that. Everything I do is guided by a goal. Now that you know a little bit more about me, I should lay my cards on the table. My sort of... life project is to make people happy. I like to find out what makes people feel fulfilled and help them realize what that is. That is what I do in the most simple terms."
"Aaaand you want me to get fat? You think that would make me happy?"
"I have no opinion on your weight, honestly. But I do think you would be happier that way, yes. That's just based on how we've talked."
"So you're like a psychologist? A shrink?"
"I've spent time studying that and other things that tie into people's minds. I've sort of fallen into a niche of helping people with their sexualities though. Especially fat related sexual tendencies."
"And you're also a hacker."
"I am very skilled with computers too. Modern medicine relies a lot on technology. People with both specialties are rare, I'm one of them."
"So what? You just trawl the internet looking for people in denial and message them?"
"More or less. It's more sophisticated than that. And I don't know if Kelri mentioned or not but there are others that have similar goals. I work with an organization by the name of Cozca. They're all about people like you - They're men and women with a peculiar taste for weight gain and bellies. We make an odd pair, but we work together."
"Haha what? Is this like a social media group?"
"Heh. More like the Illuminati. As much as they hate that comparison, I think it's quite apt. Those shows you talk about affecting you? This group funded their creation."
Veera screwed up her face. She couldn't believe it, but the thought of it made her hair stand on end. "What? There is a whole company around making people fat? Why?"
"Hedonism? They want to make people happier with their sexual preferences, but it can't be denied that they want to spread their tastes as well."
"Wow..." Veera texted. She didn't know what else to say. She felt like she was on a cliff. At the bottom of the ridgeline was a lifestyle she'd dreamed and imagined. Somehow, she was standing with her toes dangling off the edge. She'd been shimmying closer for so long and she was ready to jump.
"You must have noticed Kelri's shape? And she must have told you about her weight gain?"
"Yeah..." She tapped out on her phone with heavy breaths. "Genes or something. And some medicine to make her stomach bigger..."
"Cozca has access to those things. And more."
"What?" She held her breath waiting for a response.
"Do you want to get fat, Veera?"
That was the shove she was waiting for. The answer had been right there the whole time. She felt like a snowball, rolling down a pure white, icy hill. "I do." was all she could reply.
"Cozca would love to help. Would you be willing to visit them and talk? You could help each other out a lot."
I can just do this. No one can stop me. Not Dwight. Not my uncle. Not the newscasters. I can just do this. She could hardly believe what she was texting about. The idea that she could look like that woman she talked to, Kelri, blew her mind. "They can make me look like her? The girl I met with?"
"Yes."
"I'll meet with them. Where do I have to go? What do i have to do?"
