In her car, Kelri pulled out her planner and set it atop her huge lap covering belly. The day's panel listed her weight. 6/18/2021 - 365 pounds. She'd been closer to four hundred pounds than three hundred pounds for over a week. But she didn't open her planner to admire her weight. She double checked the address. It was the right place. In a suburb a half hour east from Azure Heights, she sat in her car assessing the run down strip mall. It was clearly a slow day, but even so, the address she arrived at looked closed with chipped paint, and curtained windows. But it was the right place - the gym she was told to go to.
Kelri set her planner aside, opened the car door, and hefted her heavy soft body out. It took several minutes as each stage required a moment to recover.
Her cobbled outfit wasn't exactly fashionable. Probably wasn't very functional either. Even before she packed on over 200 pounds, she didn't have work out clothes. And like the rest of her wardrobe, she didn't want to spend a ton of money on custom made and fitted fat clothes. She had on a hastily ordered sports bra, and a pair of thigh stretched leggings. Her belly would just have to hang out during the work out. For modesty's sake, she had a super oversized hoodie. Another gift from Miranda. She looked like a self conscious college student.
The parking lot was out of the way, as was the entrance. But still with how unkempt it looked, she couldn't help but look behind her several times. Blinds blocked the view through the doors. After a deep breath she opened them and walked in. "Hellooo?"
Fluorescent bulbs cast a pillar of light on a dusty reception desk. It almost looked like it was abandoned months ago. An African American man, buff and looking dressed for a triathlon, looked up and smiled. "Kelri Rivera? Good to meet you."
Kelri looked down at her belly. Shame from their contrasting bodies built. She laughed it off, but it was clear he was talking a good long look at her. "It's nice to meet you in person. Talking online doesn't really give you a good sense of a person."
"Sure. Definitely. Come one let me show you around. Oh, and lose the sweat shirt. This isn't Rocky."
Kelri took a deep breath. Fuck it. Get it over with. She pulled the sweatshirt over her head, and tossed it on the dusty counter along with her purse. Then, while awaiting judgement, she adjusted her sports bra and pants.
Kary looked Kelri up and down again, but didn't comment further. He flicked a lightswitch, and in a wave, the fluorescent tubes flickered to life revealing a gym full of equipment used only by ghosts. "So uh yeah. Here everything is. A lot of equipment is modified to be used by uhh - larger people. We got wider treadmills over here. Machines with extended lines to give more room. All of it is built stronger too. I mean I can go into more specifics about how everything is changed, but I'm sure you're not all that interested. I'll save that for when it's relevant," He chuckled.
"So you have a lot of clients?" Kelri asked, curious about why the place was so empty. Part of her was still worried someone dangerous might be lurking.
"Nah, not anymore. I know how it looks, but it's like this because I only have a few important clients left."
"Am I important?" Kelri asked with an amused scoff.
Kary shrugged.
"Where'd the others go?"
Kary shrugged again. "Hopefully they ran with what I taught them. Nothing happened to them, if that's what you're asking. I have a more direct methodology. Had problems letting go of control, so when I needed to spend time on more demanding clients, I phased out my public operations."
"So I have to know," Kelri prodded as they passed rows of weight benches. "You're involved with this because? Is it a fetish thing?"
Kary stopped in his tracks, looked back and guffawed. "Nah. Nothing like that. Just a job. But no, I actually sort of fell into all this. It was a weight loss gym. In such a crowded place for business, I needed to find my niche. Eventually, people praised my discretion. Just professional duty, I say. But that caught the attention of some wealthy people. Then they talked to other people, and then I landed some big clients."
"Big. Like Miranda," Kelri joked.
"Yeah. And a few others. I feel bad about the regular clients I don't have time for anymore, but I can't deny the pay and hours are better. Certainly get more exercise myself now! Hah! But anyway, you didn't come here to chat about my business. You're here to work on that thing." Kary poked Kelri's stomach.
Kelri gulped. Then laughed. An old dumb shame of being fat rose up her spine, then subsided. She was way past that.
"So obviously you're not going to be running a marathon today. Or anytime soon. So, we'll start light and focus on long term plans."
Kelri groaned. She didn't even like exercise when she was a third of her current weight.
"And," Kary added like a teacher assigning homework to an already displeased class, "You're going to have to keep up activity out of here as well. If you want what you talked about - mobility as you keep gaining weight - you're going to have to work damned hard."
Kelri let out a resigned sigh. "Right. A big thing is going to be cardio. Weight training is great, but you're lugging that ball around all the time, twenty four seven. It's no good to lift shit if you can only do it a few times. And so... Cardio. Sustained movement."
"I'm not exactly in a state to be doing much cardio..."
"Hey, no worries about that." Kary led Kelri through the jungle of gym equipment. "We have these bikes designed to help women shaped just like you. Got a separate platform for your gut to rest so you can focus on moving your legs."
Kelri looked at it with a grimace.
"That's what we'll do when you're here, but since you won't have this thing at home the next best thing you can do on your own is to walk. Get outside and walk walk walk. Best way to get better at something is to do the thing. You wanna be able to carry that thing around when you're bigger? You gotta carry it around now. As far and as often as you can comfortably manage."
"Just walking?"
"Nope. In here we'll introduce some light weight work, modified stretching - you know, yoga type stuff. That will be critical too. You gotta be able to angle your body in funny ways with that thing. It will help with general aches and pains, as well as back pain."
"Oh. God that would be great."
"Oh, I doubt I'll be able to get rid of it. Just make it manageable."
Somehow, Kelri was glad it'd stay around a bit. The back pain was almost an arousal trigger at times with how ubiquitous it was.
"Regardless, with all of this, we're going to start light and build up to more advanced stuff."
"Good..."
"Bike now. Sit." Kary commanded.
Kelri climbed her fat ass up onto the wide exercise bike. She lifted her belly up when he told her to, and he moved an angled platform into place. It wasn't comfortable having her belly propped up so high, but it was the first time in months she didn't have her belly rest on her lap. It was freeing. Almost cold. And then, as he pushed her seat forward, and her feet met the pedals, The little bit of enjoyment vanished.
Kelri didn't like cardio.
