Myre begged and pleaded with Evan; she was more than desperate to see him again. She had a plan. A dirty one. It took a few days, but finally, they found the time for each other.

Myre's long green dress was an integral part of her plan. She was fond of her choice of red heels and a red ribbon under her bust to compliment her red hair. Partly, she liked the color combination, but more than that, the ribbon cinched the dress, making her belly more prominent.

She trotted down the front stairs leading from the shop's deck to her parking lot. With a smile she jogged over to Evan's waiting car, jumping over a pothole to get there. With a laugh she tripped into the passenger seat.

"Why the rush." Evan laughed, smiling at her infectious enthusiasm.

"I wanted to seee you, silly!" Myre crooned.

"Alright, so you've seen me. Did you have someplace in mind? Or should i just idle the engine here."

"Maybe. I have something in mind. But it's not at a particular place. It'd be less fun here in the parking lot. But... Want to go down to the boardwalk? Get something to eat? We can walk around. Smell the ocean. Watch the tourists!"

"Traffic will be crap. It's Saturday. A nice one too. But if that's your desire, lady." he laughed.

"Sure! Let's do it." She reached over and caressed Evan's shoulder.

It took a half hour to wind down the mountain roads to the shore. They pulled into a parking garage and left their car behind. Myre raced around the car and pulled Evan out of the car by his hand. They were lucky. A bus from out of town pulled in after them and took up a half dozen of the remaining spaces.

"Come on! Let's go!" She shouted with a smile as she tugged Evan's arm.

Evan smiled and let himself get caught into Myre's whirlpool of affection.

"How's work?" Myre chirped as they stepped out onto the sidewalk.

"Damn busy. I'm trying to get A few more certifications, so I've been doing double shifts. Extra money. More hours toward meeting my goals."

"I just wish I could see you more. Maybe I should get you certified to work on my ice cream machines. Then you'd have to come fix them for me!" She leaned over and kissed Evan on the cheek. "On that note, I actually hired someone this week. A bookish little thing to help with the registers during the summer."

"Ohhh moving up?" Evan said, distracting from Myre's comment.

"Just a little at a time."

"Hope they work out for you. If you keep expanding you'll need even more workers. She may end up being more important than the position you hired her for."

"Maybe. I hope she works out. I think she'll do well. She just needs to get out of her shell a bit. She's only a part timer though."

"People leave jobs all the time. Especially part time ice cream sales people. But maybe she'll be something more in the long run. You never know." Evan joked.

Myre smiled and blushed. "Yeah what kind of crazy woman makes a full time job out of making ice cream? Hah! But uhh, speaking of leaving. How did Kira act after I left."

Evan kicked the ground as he walked. "I think she realized she was bamboozled. At first she sulked. Wouldn't eat or look at me. Then she switched and wouldn't leave my side. I picked up a pile of laundry to put it in the dryer and she barked at it like I was cheating on her."
