Every relationship has its ups and downs, much like every person has their perfections and flaws. Yours and Heisenberg's is an odd one, but he always keeps you on your toes and a smile on your face.

At first, he came across an arrogant, delusional guy who you very much wanted to sock in the face. His insufferably smug face. But you soon warmed up to him once he opened up to you, showing you the more caring side of him that you honestly didn't think existed.

You embraced his wacky ideas and the fact that he creates monsters that would make god weep, finding it in your heart to love him a little more with each new day.

He, too, embraced what you deemed to be imperfections, although he has claimed many times that you have none.

"Darlin', there's not one bad thing about you. Compared to me, you're a damn angel."

While this is true, there might be one tiny habit of yours that irritates him just a little. Or a lot.

Karl rolls onto his back, cracking one eye open to search your empty side of the bed. Assuming you'll be back any moment, he relaxes and closes his eyes again.

A squeal erupts and he springs to his feet, summoning a knife into his outstretched hand as he locates you not too far away. When his piercing eyes land on you, his shoulders sag as he releases a heavy sigh.

You squeal again, laughing heartily as Angie hurries over and climbs up onto your lap. Donna sends her brother her usual angelic smile. "Morning, Heisenberg."

"Donna." He nods. You and Angie look up at him with bright smiles, and he nods at the doll. "Psycho." Angie scoffs and folds her arms.

"Don't listen to him." You playfully cover her ears. "Metal man is just grumpy today."

"I'm going back to sleep." He grumbles. You and Donna chuckle softly, but your attention swiftly returns to the doll in your lap who begins to chatter away.

Immersed in another book and finding it difficult to put it down, your eager eyes sweep across the page as you lower into the seat close to the engineer.

Your lips mouth the words as your eyes hungrily scan the pages, a sharp gasp leaving you. Karl bumps his head in a rush to stand up, rubbing it as he faces you.

"Where the hell did you come from?"

"Up there." You point to the stairs, not taking your eyes off the page. "Got lonely."

"Stop sneaking around." He huffs, fiddling with the robot again. You only hum in response and sink further into your seat, eagerly flicking the page over.

Singing to yourself, you head down the metal steps, letting out a shriek when your foot slips off the edge. A hand flies up to grasp the railing and you grip it tightly, catching your breath.

Your wide eyes lock with Karl's when he darts out from his office, prepared to murder someone.

"[Y/n]," he pinches the bridge of his nose. "Did you just scream because you tripped on the stairs again?"
