During the day, you and Cassandra are the definition of badass. Everyone in the village both fears and respects you, and even Mother Miranda knows you're not to be messed with.

In spite of your stone cold demeanour throughout the day, there's nothing stopping you acting like a complete child behind closed doors.

Ironically, the moment you and Cassandra are alone, you're the complete opposite to that badass couple you paint yourselves to be when in public. Only her sisters and Alcina know of this. You're careful, but if another human were to find out they'd be killed on the spot.

"Ouch." You pout, dropping the sickle onto the table with a thud to inspect the cut. Cassandra is by your side in the blink of an eye, raising your hand into the light to get a close look at your finger.

"Oh, just a scratch." She smiles.

"I don't like my own blood." You lean into her and she wraps her arms around you.

-

Cassandra softly chuckles. "Doll, you really should get some sleep." You hum and shake your head, whining in protest when she takes the book from your hands.

"Fine." You raise your arms. She smiles and lifts you up, carrying you to your shared bedroom. Once she is comfortably on her back with you on top, you snuggle into her with your head tucked under her chin.

"Goodnight, little one."

-

"Stupid manthing!" Cassandra howls, swiping her sickle along his torso. The man cries out and tugs on the chains above his head, earning himself another slash.

You stand close by with your arms folded over your chest. He gives you a pleading look until he meets your cold stare, to which he responds to by bowing his head.

"Bela said it's her turn next. She'll be down in a couple minutes."

"I've had my fun." Cassandra purrs, dragging the cool blade along his jaw. He wearily lifts his head, not wanting another scar. She chuckles, following you out of the dungeons.

"Ugh," she sits and places the sickle to one side. "Humans are so tiring."

"I know." You bring your knees either side of her legs, playing with her hair to soothe her. "They're also boring." She hums in agreement, holding your waist and circling her thumbs over your hips.

"Not you though." She kisses your cheek. "You are the one human who isn't dull." You grin and bury your face in her neck, feeling your eyes flutter when she runs her fingers up your spine.

"Evening, lovebirds." Bela smirks on her way past. "I do hope you didn't kill the poor creature."

"I don't think so." She smiles playfully, hearing an airy laugh from the blonde.

-

"For you," you smile warmly.

"Oh." Alcina returns it, taking the wine glass from your hands. "Thank you, dear. How kind of you."

Cassandra extends her arms, hands opening and closing. You bite your lip and lace your fingers with hers, letting her pull you onto her lap.

"Well I think he tasted delicious." Daniela protests, floating down the staircase.

"The human was anything but." Argues Bela. "You are just easily impressed." Alcina chuckles to herself, not looking up from her book.

"Evening, daughters."

"Evening, Mother."

"Hello to the happy couple." Daniela taunts, sitting close to you both. You give her a smile and scrunch your nose, still playing with Cassandra's hands.

"Can we free one of the humans tomorrow?" Bela drapes her arms around her mother's shoulders from behind.

"Free a human?"

"Let them loose in the castle. Daniela and I want to hunt."

"They wouldn't escape us." Her sister adds.

"I suppose. But if I find them, they will be my prey and not yours." She teases, smiling widely when Bela kisses her cheek.

"Cassandra?"

She looks up at the youngest, shaking her head. "Tomorrow is just me and [Y/n]."

"Everyday is just you and [Y/n]."

"Everyday, including tomorrow."
