"Are you sure this will work?"

"I'm as sure as I can be," Alcina replies. "As much as I loathe the mere thought of you being anywhere near this horrid place, my idiot brother is the strongest out of the others."

The man himself begins to step out of the factory, pausing when he notices you and his sister making your way over. He curses and shuts the door, drawing a sigh from Alcina who impatiently bangs on the metal.

"Heisenberg, I know you're in there."

"What d'you want?" He grumbles.

"For once I am asking for your help."

"Ha!" She shakes her head, rubbing her temples. "Dammit I wish I filmed that."

"Stop behaving like a child and open this door at once before I break it down!"

With a purposefully loud sigh, he reluctantly complies. He nods to you. [Y/n]."

"Karl."

"I'm not sure how, but Mother Miranda has grown suspicious of me because of a rumour." She glances at you through the corner of her eye and Heisenberg cocks a brow.

"Not exactly a rumour though, is it?"

"Shut up." She grits. "I refuse to take any risks and I promised no harm would come to this one so..." she pats her necklace and clears her throat, struggling to get the words out.

"So I need to stay here with you until Alcina convinces Miranda she heard wrong." You finish, earning a thankful smile from the vampire.

"I thought you said this place wasn't suitable for humans." He raises an arm and rests it against the door.

"Heisenberg please, I am only asking you to do this one favour for me. I don't ask for much. I just need you to look after [Y/n] for a little while so I can speak with Miranda."

"And if Miranda comes here, then what?"

"Hopefully it won't come to that."

"Huh," he scoffs. "Unlikely. She's a bigger bitch than you. Come on in, little one."

You tilt your head to look up at Alcina. "Be careful."

"Always." She kisses your cheek, scowling at her brother's disgusted grunt. "I'll be back soon. Not a single scratch, Heisenberg. I'm warning you."

"Yeah yeah." He steps aside to let you in. You wave to Alcina and blow her a kiss. "Enough of that." He slams the door with a wave of his hand. "Listen, kid, I got shit to do so don't get in my way, alright?"

"Can I watch?"

"Whatever, just don't annoy me."

"Do you think this plan will work?"

"Didn't I just tell you not to annoy me?"

"Yeah, but it's not like you can kick me out or anything, otherwise Alcina would be on your ass."

"I do what I want." He points. You scrunch your nose and lightly bat his hand away from your face. "Now sit and shut it so I can work in peace."

"I will for now." You send him a grin.
