Extend The Stars

laying down on your back, you stared at the stars. the empty sadness you felt in your heart lingered, and forced you to overthink. the stars beamed down on you, comforting you. they made you feel like just maybe there was a second chance for you.
this is what you thought to yourself, even though all you did was exist. why did they do that to you? you had no clue. your mind kept flipping the story on you, telling you it was your fault they did it. it was your fault for existing, thats why they continuously bullied you, calling you names and telling you to go die somewhere in a ditch.
but you had a light of your own. everytime his motorcycle reved, it gave you longing.
everytime his beautiful blonde locks flowed in the quiet whistles of the wind. the way he would smile so softly at his dorayaki, made you happy too.
but he didnt know you existed. even if he did, why would he want to associate himself with such a peasant like you, right?
you were nothing, you didnt deserve the light he shone.
suddenly, you heard a motorcycle rev in your direction.
startled, you shot up and looked behind, just to see the Mikey you would dream, and long for.
your breath began to get shorter, your cheeks grew hot, and your mind went blank.
he got off of his motorcycle and made his way over to you. he sat down criss cross next to you, and stared at the sky.
"its beautiful isn't it?"
you were taken back. you didn't know how to respond, so u just sat there, with your words trapped in strings of nervousness inside your throat.
"you know, i've been watching you. not the way you think, but everytime i see you walk by me, your head is low. you seem as though you have no motivation to live. whats wrong?" he said, the way he spoke was just above a whisper. almost is if... no. he could never care for you. it would only burden him.
"nothings wrong. i just walk that way, its a habit of mine."
he looked toward you and tilted his head, in his eyes you could see sadness.
"why are you lying?"
your heart almost stopped. how did he know?
your eyes began to water slightly, but you tried your hardest to keep the tears in.
"im not."
slowly, he scooted toward you and brought you into a warm embrace. this wasnt just a regular hug, it was passionate. its aroma was sad, happy, and... protective?
"i see them bully you. why dont you speak up? why dont you want to get away from it?"
the tears came falling down. you couldnt control it anymore. you bawled in his arms, and he stayed. he held you as you emptied your burdened heart into his hands, praying that he'll fix you.
"its alright, im here now. ill protect you, and ill stay. one day, maybe our future will extend the stars you watch every night, hoping and dreaming for a new happiness."
