Walking through the rubble and rocks of destroyed buildings, you were thinking about Hajime. Before Junko turned darkness on the world, you and him were bestfriends. You both loved spending time with each other after school near the fountain, playing games, talking and laughing, and overall just being around each other.

On your birthday, he gave you a purple moon necklace. You cherished it, and you still wear it to this day.

One day, Hajime didn't come to the fountain like he always did. You tried to think positively, maybe he was sick that day, or just a little late because of papers.

You waited, and waited, and waited. He'd never shown up. Even so, you decided that you'd come back tomorrow. surely he'd show up.. right?

The next day came, and there you were. You were waiting again. Ever since the first day he stopped coming, he hasnt come back.

Of course you'd still think about him. He was your first love, and is still your only love. Walking by yourself through this broken world always made you think about him.

Suddenly, you heard rocks moving, as if someone was walking through the same rubble you were. You were a bit nervous, but you haven't seen anyone for almost a year now.

When the figure emerged, he had red eyes, long dark hair, and a suit on. "Who are you?" he asked in a bored tone. One of his eyes began tearing up, a small tear rolled down it.

Confused, he touched his face. He'd decided that it didn't matter, and turned his attention back to you.

"Oh uhm, my names (Y/N)! What about yours?" He looked surprised to hear your name, almost as if he'd heard it before. "Izuru Kamukura." his personality was quite dull. He seemed bored all the time.

"Uhm, if it's not much of a bother for you, would you like to accompany me? I'm by myself, and being alone is kinda hard.." you trailed off. "Sure, just dont bore me to death." He said looking away.

"Hey Izuru?" "What?" You were balancing on rocks in the middle of the road while he was calmly walking on the side of you. "Do you remember what it was like before the world changed?" you breathed out. "No. All i can remember are vivid images of a fountain, and a person. they're too blurry to actually see, but i couldnt see them until i met you. So i guess you're not boring."

One of the rocks you were balancing on moved. You lost your footing and began falling. Ready to hit the ground, you closed your eyes, but what you hit wasnt the ground.

You looked up, and saw Izuru's red, bored eyes. Looking into the sparked something in your heart, it reminded you a bit of Hajime's eyes.

Izuru's eyes went wide, "You're the girl at the fountain." He set you down on the street and stared in your eyes. "The memories are clear now" "What do you see?!" you exclaimed, and grasped his shoulders.

"I see a fountain, a girl sitting at the fountain waving at me. The girl is you." Your eyes went wide again. These memories he's describing are Hajime's! Was Hajime gone for so long because he was in the school experiment?

You grabbed his shoulders again, and brought his face to yours. You stared in his eyes and said, "Do you remember who you were?"

Inside his brain, something broke. Hajime was trying to break free. He needed you to break through to him.

Izuru's eyes slowly began to shatter. You didnt know what you were doing, but it had to be working. "Hajime? Are you in there? I dont know if you are, but something's changing!"

Hajime was almost there. he just needed you, one more time.

You're heart was beating fast, it felt almost in snyc with Izuru's. You through your arms around him, and buried you head in his chest. You felt stupid. Why would that even be him?

Two arms wrapped around your waist, and a head rested itself on yours. "Im sorry Izuru, i dont know what just got into me. I just want him to come back to me. It wont happen again, I promise." A tear ran down your cheek. "I'm happy you did though."

You shot your head up to look at him, and you gasped. It was him. His brown hair was back, all of his features had returned, and his big beautiful green eyes returned.

"Hi Y/N, did you miss me?" he smiled down softly at you. You couldnt hold them anymore. The tears began to fall down your soft cheeks, you buried your head back into his chest and sobbed.

"Why did you leave me? i waited so long for you. i thought about you every day. I loved you, and still love you! Why did you have to go?"

His embrace tightened around you, and he spoke. "Im sorry. I never wanted to go."

He grabbed your face and stared into your sparkling (e/c) orbs. He leaned down slowly, and kissed your soft lips. It was sweet and short, you didnt want it to stop.

"I love you, so so much. i promise im here to stay." He exclaimed, caressing the purple necklace he gave to you at the fountain.

You smiled and hugged him again, "I love you too, Hajime."
