"tell me, y/n, do you love me?"

you froze.
guilt, heart ache and numbness hit you all at the same time.
you stood there, frozen in shock.
"are you stupid?"
"out of everyone, you chose me? Why?" his voice leaked with sadness and regret.
you didnt know what to do. why was he so upset that... you cherished him? your tears couldnt spill, because you were still incredibly shocked.
"im leaving" his tone was rough and tacky, yet loneliness dripped off his voice.
he began walking away. the crying sky was reflecting your emotions, and it would only make Kyo's emotions worse.
suddenly, you got the acceleration to run after him. you pushed the door open aggressively and ran toward him.
"Kyo! wait please-"
you choked on your words, your throat filled with regret as he turned around.
his cat-like orange eyes burned a whole in your heart.
still, you wouldnt give up. you swallowed the emotions you felt and began speaking.
"please Kyo dont go! i cant bear the thought of you leaving. isnt there anyway i can get you to see the truth?"
u began to take your words back, but at this point your emotions overflowed your brain, and your heart began to speak for itself.
"Kyo please, is there any way i can get you to accept the fact that i love you!"
your heart started pumping with adrenaline, and even a speck of hope as your broken tears flowed down your soft cheeks.
"and nothing you say will change that!"
breathing hard, you awaited his answer.
"I'm-"
deep in your heart, you hoping hed say "Im sorry, i love you too", oh how wrong you were.
"Im... dissapointed in you"
his words had venom seeping within them. how badly you wish you could alter them, or never hear them, ever.
your heart collapsed, your knees collapsed, everything you had, collapsed, right infront of you.
"youre... joking right..?" your voice trembled and your hands were shaking.
" did it look like i was?"
with that, he trampled all over your feelings. stepping on them, squishing them like an ant.
you jolted upward and ran, hurrying down the stairs of the front yard. you couldnt see, your eyes were blurred with your tears, but you didnt seem to care.
you just wanted to get away from it all.
to get away from him.
even when your breath ran out and your knees began to shake, you kept running.
after about 2 minutes of running, your legs gave out.
you collapsed on the wet, muddy grass. you tried to force yourself to cry, but nothing came out.
the ledge you were kneeling on showed a view of the sky, as the sun began to rise.
he began looking for you, suddenly realizing how badly hes hurt you. he ran and ran hoping to god he would find you and tell you what he shouldve told you all this time.
your eyes began to close slowly, tired from all the weeping youve just done.
his legs were moving, taking him as fast as they could go.
you started falling foward, and the ledge below you began to crumble.
he was close to you, he knew it.
right before the ledge gave way, you looked at the sunrise infront of you, and your last thoughts were-

Kyo.

Kyo heard a loud crumbling sound, and started getting worried. he ran even faster, though his legs hurt. he found the ledge shed been sitting upon, but it was caved in.
he looked over top of the ledge, and saw a body.
no. could it be?
there was red.
so much red.
crimson red.
he begna running around, trying to get down to where you were.
his thoughts clouded his mind.
all he could think about was his moments with you. when youd stumble on your words when hed call you cute, when youd cry at the ending of a sad movie, when you sung to him one night because he couldnt sleep. but he didnt care. you were his song. he couldnt sing without lyrics, and lyrics couldnt be heard without a singer. you lit a candle in his soul when noone else could, even though you were suffering your own pain.
once he got to you, he collapsed on his knees, barely breathing.
your ribs were broken, suffocating your lungs, and u broke both your legs.
he began to cry, he yelled and screamed, the one thing he treasured most, was gone because of him.
suddenly, a hand reached out and touched his wet cheek. his eyes shot open.
"Y/N? OH THANK GOD!"
"Kyo, im sorry i couldnt love you the way you needed."
what was she saying? you were his belladonna.
"no please, you cant leave! i love you!"
you breathed in, a sharp pain inflicting your lungs.
you were broken, inside and out.
"live long, Kyo. i love you."
"wait-"
your hand fell from his cheek.
his heart shattered, your heart stopped.
his pupils dilated, your eyes shut.
his heart was beating rapidly, while your heart beat no more.
