Chapter 4 Meeting Aphmau

Alex's POV

I woke up to see Lucinda still asleep next to me. I got up and got ready for the day. Once I was done taking a shower and getting dressed, I headed downstairs and started making breakfast. I heard steps coming down the stairs. I set a cup of coffee on the table, along with a plate of food for her to eat. "Good morning, honey." I said. I heard a mumble in response to me. I turned and smiled at her. "What? Not going to thank me for the food?" I asked.

"Thanks for the food." She said, eating it. I smiled at patting her on the head. She growled at me and continued eating. I sat next to her and ate the food I made for myself. Once she finished her food, Lucinda went back upstairs to get ready. I cleaned up the pans I used and the plates, loading the dishwasher with the pans and plates. I snuck out to the garage and check the runes that I engraved on Lucinda's potion making clothes. "Checking out my clothes again?" Lucinda asked.

"Just checking on the runes I engraved last night." I said.

"Last night?" She asked.

"Yeah, that's why I was out here so late." I explained. She walked over and hit my head. "Idiot, you shouldn't be doing those so late at night." She said. I smiled and looked at her. "Sorry, but I wanted to help you as much as I could." I said.

"Maybe I should use a potion on you and make you sleep sometimes, or maybe turn you into a cat or dog." Lucinda said.

"Please don't." I begged. She giggled and walked out, leaving me behind. "Lucinda!" I called after her. I heard more giggling as I heard footsteps running up the stairs. I ran after her and heard our bedroom door shut. I ran upstairs and opened the door. As soon as the door opened, I was hit with a potion. Once the potion hit me, I looked around and saw that my height hadn't changed. I lifted my hands and saw they were also normal. "What potion was that?" I asked.

"Why don't you go look in a mirror and see." Lucinda said with a smirk. I walked to the bathroom feeling something sway behind me as I walked. I looked in the mirror to see what looked like fox ears on top of my head, I looked behind me to see a fox tail swaying. "Really a kitsune cosplay potion?" I asked.

"Aww is someone upset by what the see?" Lucinda asked.

"Yes." I said. My tail was wagging back and forth showing that I did enjoy it a little bit. "That's not what your tail says." She said. We headed downstairs and turned on the tv to watch something until we needed to go somewhere. While we were watching tv Lucinda kept messing with my tail and ears which felt good for some reason. "How about we go see if Aphmau is willing to hang out so you can get to know her better?" Lucinda suggested.

"You want me to go like this?" I asked.

"What other way is there for you to go?" She answered.

"Well you could use a potion to reverse what you did." I suggested.

"Nope, you did this to yourself." She said. I let out a sigh and got my stuff so we could go see Aphmau. Once I was ready we walked over to their house and asked to see Aphmau. "Lucinda, Alex. It's great to see you two." Aphmau said inviting us inside. We walked inside and at in the living room talking about our life. "So Aphmau, are you looking at dating someone anytime soon?" Lucinda asked.

"W-What makes you say that?" Aphmau stuttered.

"Well I might've seen something after the play ended." Lucinda said.

"Oh, please don't tell anyone else. Me and Aaron have been talking about dating but we're just staying friends for now." Aphmau said. Lucinda kept pushing more details. "Lucinda, you didn't make a bet did you?" I asked. I felt her jump from me asking that question. "N-no." She said.

"What about you two?" Aphmau asked.

"What about us?" I asked.

"Well I'm wondering how you two hooked up." Aphmau said.

"Well, we met each other when I broke up with my last boyfriend, I was standing on the street and Alex here invited me to his apartment." Lucinda started. She told Aphmau the rest of the story while Aphmau seemed to get most of it. Kawaii~chan came downstairs from the second to see me and Lucinda sitting next to each other. "Kawaii~chan has found a new ship!" She cheered. She ran past us and down to the basement. "We need to stop her." Aphmau said. I looked at her confused as she ran after Kawaii~chan. Lucinda followed behind her before I heard someone else come down the stairs. "Aren't you worried about what we're panicking about?" Katelyn asked. I shrugged and got up to follow her to the basement. When we walked into the basement and I saw a shrine that had picture of me and Lucinda posted up. "Oh, Kawaii~chan this is amazing. is it alright if I get a closer look?" I asked.

"Of course Alex-kun." Kawaii~chan said stepping to the side. I looked at the shrine admiring the pictures and the little figures that she had set up. "Wait Alex, aren't you a little freaked out by this?" Lucinda asked.

"Not really, I think it's awesome when I get to see the detail in these things." I said.

"Really?" Aphmau asked.

"Yeah, maybe it's because I have a sister who was like this a fair amount of the time. She was always pushing me to date people so she could ship me." I said.

"Your sister is a curious one." Lucinda said.

"I can't believe that you're not freaked out by this still." Katelyn said.

"I'm happy Alex-kun likes it, Kawaii~chan will do her best to keep it to a minium." Kawaii~chan said.

"Please do, he might be okay with this but I'm still a little ify with it." Lucinda said.
