Lucinda x OC

Chapter 9

Alex's POV

I woke up early enough to make breakfast for at least me and Lucinda, but as I was finishing up making breakfast. I noticed the groceries were low; I took breakfast to Lucinda and told her about the situation. "Okay, did you want me to come with you to help get the groceries?" She asked. I shook my head and continued eating breakfast. "I'll be fine, besides it shouldn't be that hard to get some new groceries." I said. She nodded and ate her breakfast. Since I cooked breakfast, she took the dishes downstairs and did them while I got ready to leave. We kissed before I left and headed to see where I could get groceries. Along the way, I ran into Guy, who told me about where I could get groceries. I thanked him before heading over to where he told me about. 

When I got to the place, I started looking around for groceries before feeling a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see my sister, Sarah. "Oh my Irene, what are you doing here?" I signed before hugging her. She smiled and returned my hug before we looked at each other and laughed. She smiled and signed to me about how she and mom were here. "You're both here?" I asked, signing. She nodded. "You'll have to take me to her sometime, but right now I need to finish buying groceries." I signed. 

"Can I join you?" She asked. I nodded and started looking for the rest of the items I needed. Once I found everything and paid for it, we walked out of the store and continued talking for a minute while she told me about where she and mom were staying. "Oh, I forgot to mention, both me and my girlfriend are here too." I said. She gasped a little before smirking. "I thought you'd be alone until old age." She joked. I sighed and playfully punched her shoulder. We laughed about her before I felt something wrap itself around my waist. "Who's this?" Lucinda asked. 

I went to explain that she was my sister, but Lucinda shut me up by walking in front of me and between me and my sister. "I don't know who you are, but Alex is my boyfriend." Lucinda said. Sarah just stood there and listened to Lucinda, she continued to talk about how me and her were dating and how Sarah shouldn't be trying to steal me away. "Lucinda." I said getting her attention. Lucinda looked at me while I tried to hold back my laughter. "What's so funny?" She asked. 

"Lucinda, this is Sarah my sister." I explained. I watched as Lcuinda's face went tomato red as she realized who I was talking with. She turned and apologized to Sarah who was silently laughing about the situation. "It's okay." Sarah signed. Lucinda looked at her confused before turning to me. "She said 'It's okay.'" I said.  Lucinda nodded. "Sorry, since Sarah's mute we use sign language, paper, or whiteboards to talk. We do also occasionally use light runes to write in the air." I explained. 

"Wow, that's super inventive. I feel like you two use rune magic for everything." Lucinda said. Me and Sarah both nodded. "I should get back to mom, we have a condo here on the resort. Here's the address." Sarah signed, handing me a piece of paper with the address on it. Me and Sarah hugged before we went our seperate ways. Once we got back home Lcuinda apologized to me about doing that in front of my sister. "Lucinda it's okay, Sarah understands that you were just beinging overprotective about me." I said putting the groceries away.

"I know, but still I'm so embarrassed about doing that." Lucinda said. I walked over to her and kissed her cheek. "Don't worry about it, but now you can meet my mom." I said. She nodded. "Wait are you two going somewehere?" Aphmau asked coming downstairs. I nodded. "While Alex was out he ran into his sister and I sort of went off on her for trying to take Alex's heart from me." Lucinda explained. Aphmau laughed as she heard the explaination. "Would you like to come?" I asked. 

"Are you sure?" Aphmau asked.

"Of course, I bet my mom wants to meet all of you." I said. Aphmau was super excited and ran upstairs to tell whoever else was here. After a little bit I got a text from Sarah saying that we could head over. I told her about everyone coming and she was happy about it. We all headed over to their condo and when we got there Sarah opened the door and invited us inside. Mom was still the same with her bubbly personality. "Hi Alex! I'm so happy you and your sister ran into each other." Mom said hugging me. I introduced all of my friends to Sarah and mom before everyone started talking. "Want to help me make some snacks?" Sarah asked. I nodded and got up following her to the kitchen. We made some snacks for everyone before walking back out with them. We continued talking for most of the day with me and mom translating for Sarah, but she used some light runes when we weren't paying attention. "I've got to say I think it's amazing the things you taught Alex and Sarah with rune magic." Lucinda said. 

"They weren't always the smartest with it, there was one time when Alex was learning about the fire rune he almost set the house on fire." Mom said. 

"Mom." I said trying to get her to stop. Everyone laughed about it while I didn't want to think about what happened. Mom started telling more stories about me learning runes and how I kept doing crazy things with them. Eventually the sun set and me, Sarah and Mom all made dinner for all of us. Everyone enjoyed meeting my mom and sister and hearing stories about what I did as a kid when learning magic.
