"It's so nice the better weather has come round, I can't wait for summer" students spoke all around, filling every corner. The excitement ran through most that time of year.
"Arya, are you looking forward to summer?" Her best friend stared at her, with a couple other of her friends.
"Oh I-I suppose so..." Arya sheepishly looked away. She could see some of the popular girls talking to her boyfriend at the other end of the canteen, they were all over him.
He smiled and flirted with a few, this happened on a regular basis, Arya couldn't even talk to others boys without him getting jealous, yet he could call others girls pretty and gorgeous and talk to them everyday without anyone saying a word.
"Oh Arya, I'm sorry I forgot that..." paige stuttered on her words. Arya looked back to Matt. He never came to see Arya with her other friends, after they started going out he would always say things about them behind her back, that was another thing Arya had to get used to.
"It's fine, honestly, things happen and you get over it" it had only been 3 months after her nans death. She'd been coping pretty well so far but there were times where she could just cry for hours.
Matt had been a bit better with Arya the last couple of weeks, it gave her some relief to have some of that weight off her shoulders.
School days passed, each one getting closer and closer to the holidays, the nice weather was setting in and many had booked holidays away. Most people were very cheerful and happy, looking forward to a break.
Arya walked home alone, the sky was the most cloudy it had been all day. She reached the door and was met with her mum and dad at home too.
"Hiya sweetie, how was your day?" She could hear her mums voice from the living room. She shut the front door on her way in.
"It was ok" Arya called back, she went in to see her. The tv was on, playing some new drama series her mum liked.
"We have some exciting news" her dad said. Arya looked at her dad, who smiled, waiting to tell his news.
"We are going to wells for a couple of weeks!" He spoke, his smile now into a full beam.
"Really!?" Arya stood in awe, it was the best news she'd had in awhile. She missed it so much and maybe she'd get to see...
"We have booked the same place as last year, this time for a bit longer" her mum spoke, watching Arya's eyes light up.
"I can't wait" she ran upstairs to get changed and took out her phone. She went onto Robins contact.
-I know you probably won't see this but I'm coming down to wells for a few weeks, i might be able to see you again-
She pressed send and smiled, thinking about the last time she had visited. Hearing this news made her too look forward to summer.

A few weeks later:
"So your going on holiday?" Matts voice was low and brash, too obvious that he wasn't happy about the news.
Arya held the phone to her ear,"yeah I'm going for a couple of weeks" her voice was soft.
"Uh, well I won't get to see you for weeks" he grumbled,"now I have to go to that party on my own", he grumbled, saying something under his breath.
"It's fine, I promise I'll text you if I can" she spoke, she knew how terrible the service was out there and smiled to herself.
"You better, last time you didn't I wasn't very happy" he said,"anyway I've got to go I'll text you if I get bored" he whined and hung up.
Arya sighed, she was looking forward to these couple of weeks away, from him especially. It would only be a few weeks away now and she couldn't wait...
