As the day had drawn into night, I had returned to the barn and fed Grace, before heading off to bed. I was still feeling extremely full after the obscene amounts of food there had been for Christmas lunch. I reached the portrait and said merry Christmas to the grand lady, before entering the common room. My stack of presents was still stood on the sofa and I quickly picked them up and carried them with me to my dorm. I dumped them on top of my trunk and threw myself on my bed. Groaning at the huge "food baby" (as George had put it) sitting in my stomach. My eyes were flickering closed when I remembered something. Leaning off my bed I reached underneath and pulled out an object. Looking down at the gift Oliver had given me before he had left, I plucked the card from the top of it reading.

"Until fate gives us a fork in the road, I hope this will do. Merry Christmas Anna, love Oliver x" I sighed, but was confused by his words.

"I hope this will do?" I whispered my self and began to open the wrapped present. It was a cylinder in shape and maybe as tall as a teaspoon. After removing the paper, I stared down at the object. It was a box, covered in a thin layer of emerald leather, the gold stitching giving it a grand appearance. I carefully prized it open and gasped. Inside lay a intricate golden bracelet. The links twisted and turned, as delicate gold leaves protruded from them. Giving it a vine like appearance, dangling from one of the links was a tiny figure of a horse, it's eye was a minuscule emerald. Running my fingers over is I beamed, noticing a flatter piece of the bracelet glow gently. I watched as the word "Friends" appeared scribed in twisting letters to mirror that in the links. I placed it on my wrist and sighed happily, lying down on my bed I wrapped myself in my covers and drifted off to sleep, the notes words echoing through my mind.

"Until fate gives us a fork in the road."

I was awoken suddenly by something shaking my shoulder. I bolted up right alone in the room, yet I could still feel a hand on my arm. I took in a deep breath and got ready to scream, when a palm was placed over my mouth.

"Shh...Anna. It's me." Harry hissed, pulling his cloak from himself and appearing in front of me.

"Jesus, Harry! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" I scolded, whacking him with my pillow.

"Ok, I'm sorry." He apologised, trying to avoid my fluffy weapon of vengeance.

"You've got to come see this." He said excitedly once I had seized my attack. He grinned and grabbed me by my arm pulling me out of the room and down the stairs. Ron stood, still half asleep in the common room, his arms wrapped round himself in an attempt to keep warm, Harry quickly bustled us both towards the exit. As we reached the portrait we grouped together and covered ourselves completely in Harry's invisibility cloak. We hurried through the deserted halls, eyes only just adjusting to the dark as we entered the library. I glance to Harry as we closed in on the restricted section, he pushed open the door and stepped in pulling me and Ron with him. We hurried through until we came to stand in front of a door. Harry pushed it open quickly and ran inside. I blinked as he pulled the cloak from over us and it shimmied down my face. Looking around the room I noticed it was mostly empty, except for one item. Stood in the centre of the room was a huge mirror, ornately carved and shining invitingly. I eyed it curiously, taking cautious steps towards it. Harry however bounded over to it excitedly.

"Come on. Come. It's my parents look!" Harry's eyes were alight with excitement and joy.

"Harry?" I whispered, still unsure of the strange object he seemed infatuated with. Ron stepped in front the mirror and shrugged.

"I only see me." He said truthfully, but Harry wasn't convinced.

"Look in properly." He ordered, moving over so Ron could stand central. "Go on. Stand there. You see them don't you? That's my dad." Harry said pointing in the blank mirror.
