We walked in a group, behind Hagrid, his giant form not easy to loose in the darkness. We had been travelling deeper into the forest for about 20 minutes when suddenly Hagrid stopped. He knelt down and I glanced over his shoulder see what it was. In front of him on the ground shone a pool of silver liquid, the surface shimmered even in the black surroundings. He placed two of his fingers in substance and sighed.

"H-Hagrid, what is that?" Harry stuttered as the giant rubbed his silver tipped fingers together.

"What we're here for. You see that." He gestures to his fingers. "That's unicorn blood, that is." I gasped, unicorn? As in real freaking unicorns? "I found on dead a few weeks ago. Now this one's been injured bad, by something." out of the corner of my eye, I spotted movement in the mist filled darkness. Turning I spotted a large hooded figure, who seemed to float above the air. I froze, taking a step next to Harry I reached down and grabbed his hand.

"What is it?" I whispered, my eyes never leaving the creature.

"I don't know." He replied, I lost sight of it as I passes by a thick grouping of trees. Hagrid stood before us, oblivious to our sighting.

"So it our job to find the pot beast." He smiled, "Ron, Hermione you'll come with me" from be hind me I heard Ron's fearful, "Okay".

"Anna and Harry, you'll go with Malfoy." I took in a breath and nodded, while Malfoy grimaced.

"Okay, then I get Fang." he insisted, pointing to the great grey dog. Hagrid raised an eyebrow and handed the lead to the blond haired boy.

"Fine, Just so you know he's a bloody coward." Hagrid grumbled and Fang let out a mournful cry.

"Right, we'll keeping following this path." he gestures the the seemingly pleasant path with lead off the the right.

"And you three will be following that one." I looked to where he had pointed and my eyes widened. Trees curled and grasped at the edges of the trodden track and the mist swirled into the frightfully shapes. I gulped and looked back to Hagrid.

"Right then off you go." he sent us on our way and I glanced at Hermione who followed after him to the right. She quickly mouthed "Good luck." before disappearing into the dark.

"Right then we beat be off." I chuckled nervously, forcing my feet to move I set off down the track. Draco held the lamp like a safety blanket and Fang trudge in front of me having had his leash removed. Harry walked behind me silent.

We continued down the uneven path, tripping on roots and rocks unable to see in the little amount of light. Draco ranted on at the back.

"You wait till my father hears about this. This is servants stuff." He huffed.

"If I didn't know better Draco. I'd say your scared." Harry teased and I giggled despite our situation.

"Scared, Potter?" Malfoy scoffed, but froze as another howl sounded from behind us.

"Did you heard that?" I laughed unable to stop myself at him cowardice. He huffed

"Come on, Fang."

We continued walking an soon came upon a flattened piece of land, fracture by prose using roots of trees. Fang suddenly stops and growls and I freeze.

"What is it Fang?" Harry asks from behind me looking down at the dog.

"H-Harry." I whisper, still frozen in place. He looks up and gasps. I slowly begin to back up. My eye trained on the scene in front of me. A white unicorn lays lifeless on the leaf covered ground, it's legs splayed and cover in mud. It had tried to struggle away from its attacker. Leant over its next was the hooded figure. The sounds of slurps and gulp coming from it as it drank greedily from the precious animals jugular. It raised it hard, it's face covered in shadow, but it's mouth dripped silver. I grimaced. Harry suddenly hissed in pain and his hand flew to his forehead, covering the red glowing scar. I glanced to Draco an saw his lips part. An ear shattering scream sounded from his lips ad he turned quickly and ran screaming as he jumped over the roots. I was knocked to the ground as Fang legged bit after him. I turned and watched as the creature floated over the body of the unicorn. Not seeming to touch the floor as it came towards us. I watched as Harry backed away still clutching his scar, he tripped, tumbling to the floor. The creature loomed above him seeming ready to strike.
