We Get a Visit From The Oracle

| Juliette |

Adrian and I were just doing the dishes when the doorbell rang. Puzzled I asked Adrian,

" Who is that?" He shrugged and went to open the door. I recalled the day and stopped Adrian,

" Ade, it could be my foster parents, they were coming back today and figured since I wasn't home...." Adrian shook his head and said,

"Nope. I called them and said you were here 'cause of some weird reason. It took a bit of convincing." I exhaled a breath. Thank goodness. Adrian opened the door.Who we saw at the other side made our jaws drop to the ground.

Rachel Elizabeth Dare.

She just stood there outside the door and both of us stood there, just doing nothing. I was the first one to come out of it and welcomed her in. She smiled and stepped into the house. I almost squealed. The Rachel Dare. In this house? Adrian was still in shock by the looks of it.

"I can't stay here for long" she said, " My father had some work here, so did I." she paused, waiting for us to say something. But we didn't say a thing so she continued,

" I have come to tell, or warn you. You can't go to camp this time." she looked right at me with those sparkling green eyes,

" You mustn't. Believe me. You will get what you desire so much." I understood. She was talking about my mother. She must have had a vision. I almost squealed again. Adrian looked like he had come out of his shock but now he looked puzzled. Rachel looked at him too,

" Trust me. Both of you will find something with each other. The fates command this to happen." I blushed. She wasn't talking about what I thought she was right? I avoided Adrain's gaze. Rachel sighed,

"Tell me now? Will you believe me and do so what I told you?" she asked and looked at her watch, " Forgive me but I don't have much time. This was necessary to tell you. I wish I could really talk to you properly. But maybe next time. But tell me? Do you trust me? I am only telling you what I have seen must happen."

Well, we didn't have much of a choice. Fate comes above all. We both nodded and Rachel took that with a wide smile,

" I must go now. Trust each other. And trust others" What did she mean by others? Gods, this fate and oracle business was confusing. She waved and stepped out the door after which she paused.

" Let destiny reveal itself. You will find something in you that you never knew you had the courage to do." she said and disappeared down the staircase. I felt uneasy, as if the statement was just meant for me.

'You will find something in you that you never knew you had the courage to do'
