The stupid hellound doesn't die
| Luna |
Before any of us could do anything, the hellhound pounced on Juliette. I got up as quickly as I could and blasted the hellhound with some lightning, trying not to burn Juliette in the process. Adrian reached for his bow and arrow, and shot the hellhound with a volley of arrows. But for some reason, the hellhound did not disintegrate.
"Get Juliette on the sides," I yelled to Adrian.
Why wouldnt the stupid thing disintegrate? Just then a dagger flew past me and hit the hellhound right in its stomach. The hellhound growled then slowly, it disintegrated. I turned around to see who had thrown the dagger and saw that Tristen had his pouch open. I realised that he was the one who threw it.
"How?" I asked him. I couldn't seem to think of any other word.
"I've had experiences with hellhounds," Tristen said, his face grim, "This was a special kind. I used a special dagger that was made with celestial bronze and imperial gold. I suppose it didn't disintegrate when Adrian shot it, probably because the demigod is creating a rift between greek and romans again."
I was surprised by what he said. It did make sense.
"Luna," Adrian suddenly called, interrupting my thought, "I need help. I tried using some of my healing powers on her. I healed the bruises, and the gash on her neck, but she still isn't waking up."
He sounded really worried. I went over to see what had happened to Juliette. I gasped. There was a really bad and slightly deep cut just under her neck. The back of her head had a lot of small cuts and bruises.
"I'll try sending her some air,"I said, " I'll do the thing I did to you, put a shock to wake you up. But I have a feeling I can only set her heart rate to normal and slow her breathing with that. You will have to try doing some more intense healing."
He nodded and said, "Just do anything."
I had never heard him sound so desperate. I put my hands on Juliettes chest and sent a slight shock.
"Check her pulse," I told Adrian. He did.
"It's coming back to normal," he said.
Suddenly I had an idea. I whispered something in Adrians ears.
"Once I'm done, do that," I told him aloud.
I sent another small shock through Juliette. Her eyes fluttered, but did not open.
"Come one," I told the others, "It's up to Adrian now."
