Don't Ask Me What Just Happened

| Juliette |

Adrian had started mounting Sierra but I knocked him over.

"Hey! I'm sitting in front!" I exclaimed, "This is my Sierra"

"Aw come on!" he whined. But he listened to me. I mounted the pegasi first and then he did. With many complaints of course. His hands clutched my waist as we took off. Butterflies emerged in my stomach as his hands grew tighter around my waist.

" This feels good" he breathed right into my ear. I started to compramind him but I couldn't get any words out. We were soaring over the sky and the other pegasi and demigods were close to us. However right now, all I could feel was Adrian's hands. His breathing, which was right near my ear. He sucked in a breath as we dipped close to the sea and turned. His fingers were tangled up on my t-shirt. The pegasi flew up to pass the clouds. It was like we were riding on clouds. I wondered if anyone else felt the same. If Adrian felt the same. The sides of my ponytail loosened and strands pulled away. I could feel them hit Adrian right onto the face. I laughed and he complained again.

After a few hours of riding like this, it started to get dark. August had spotted a good island some miles ahead of them. He really had good eyesight.

Adrians hands around me tightened again as we did the landing. It was a decent island. The forest was deep and dense inside but we agreed not to go so much into there. There seemed to be no humans either. We set up our camp, which was not much. Just a bonfire, soft leaves to sleep on, and some food around. I slept next to Adrian and Luna. We didn't talk much. We knew what we had to do and we did it. They had a mission, a quest, and I had a mother to find.

I knew it was still night when I woke up. The stars and constellations stared back at me. I recognized a few. Sleep wasn't going to come back to me so I stood and walked to the beach a few feet ahead of the camp we had set up. Sitting down I started to make patterns on the sand. Before I knew it, I was drawing Adrian's eyes, hair, lips- I almost jumped up as I felt someone coming. But then I recognized the footsteps. I recognized his breathing.

Adrian sat down next to me and said softly,

" Can't sleep?"

"Nope" I answered, " Can you?"

" No" I could hear something in his voice I never heard before. It was a nice feeling. I felt him turn towards me. I didn't look at him. This was the first time we were alone after that almost kiss. He grabbed my arm so that I was forced to look into his eyes. His sky blue eyes. I wanted to tell him how beautiful they were. How he wasn't just a best friend to her.

" Juliette" he breathed. Then I didn't know who made the first move. All I knew was that our lips clashed and he had his arms all around me. Our bodies, lips, everything moved together. It was so right. He pulled away slightly to look into my eyes and dropped his forehead against mine. His nose fit perfectly alongside mine. I tangled my hand into his tousled blond hair. How he always talked about dying it some weird color, but I would always say how amazing they looked. His face simmered under the light of the moon.

" Juliette," he said again. And again. And we kissed. Again.
