Chapter 24

My fear is gone

"Luna!" Juliette called me, "come on. I need to talk to you."

I walked over to her and we said at the same time, "Did you see that guy?"

"Yes I did," I said, "before you came he told me to give up the 'stupid quest'."

"He said the same thing to me," Juliette said. Then she winced.

"Juliette, you need to take care of your neck," I said, "you can't risk damaging it."

"It'll be fine," she said, "right now we need to get going."

"Yes I agree with that. We should leave in an hour. Let the others sleep for some more time, we'll all need our strength."

"All right. Luna, I'm pretty sure that guy was a demigod. I don't know who he is, but I'm willing to bet he was a demigod."

"He is. He is the demigod who's trying to create a rift between the Romans and Greeks again. I must say, he seems pretty powerful. He literally disappeared."

We had reached Juliette's room by now.

"Well, we'll leave in an hour. If Adrian wakes up, don't tell him immediately. He's already worried about you. When everyone wakes up, then we'll tell them."

"All right."

She went into her room and I walked towards mine. When I entered my room, I saw that James was apparently awake.

"Where did you go?" he asked me.

"Just outside," I said, "I was just talking to Juliette."

He looked at me and I had a feeling he knew there was more to it.

"All right," he said. I went and sat on the edge of his bed.

"Did you have a good sleep?"

"Yeah. I feel like I could shadow travel at least 3 times." I laughed, "So I'll take that as a yes."

He smiled. I went and sat next to him, my back leaning against the wall.

"Do you think we could order something?" he asked, "I feel really hungry."

"I guess we could," I said.

We called for some food and manipulated the mist. The waiter didn't even ask for us to sign anything. After that James and I just sat and talked. He kept eating. I just ate a bit. It felt really nice.

Now I knew for certain that I wasn't afraid of being in love. James and I watched some stuff on the small TV in the room. We still had 45 min before we had to meet everyone else. So I decided to take a nap for about 15 min. I pulled James in for a kiss, feeling his soft lips against mine.

"Wake me up after about 20 mins ok?" I told him softly, as we slowly pulled away, "don't let me sleep a minute longer."

"Ok," he said, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. I went to my bed and James tucked me in.

I started saying, "Remember not a-"

"A minute longer. Yes I remember Luna. Now sleep."

I did. The last thing I saw was James sitting on my bed.

"Luna, Luna!" I woke up to James calling my names and shaking me awake.

"Luna, come on. Juliette is saying it's time to tell everyone and then we have to leave immediately."
