I Get To Kill A Monster As Soon As I Wake Up

| Luna |

Just then, James began to wake. He looked at me then looked at the sun coming on his face and grimaced. I laughed.

"Are you some kind of vampire?" I asked him, "sun is good for you!"

"Well then maybe I like being a vampire," he said, "could at least move the clouds with the winds so that the sun isn't coming directly on my face?"

"Fine," I said. I held up my hands and the clouds slowly moved to my command.

"Cool," James said.

"Yeah well, it's not that easy so don't make me do it again!"

"Is there anything to eat?" he asked, "I am really hungry."

I gave him a can of food. "That's one of the only things left."

He tasted the stuff that was in, and shrugged, "Not that bad," he said. He finished it in about three big bites. I laughed then suddenly yawned.

"Guess it's your time to sleep," he said.

"Yeah I guess," I said groggily.

I leaned down on his lap. He bent down and kissed me on the lips. I kissed him back. Then I took his hand in mine and closed my eyes, feeling his hand in my hair, then I went off to sleep.

When I woke up, I didn't open my eyes immediately. I heard some conversation. I felt a hand on me and knew it was James.

"Let her sleep some more," I heard someone say, "She will need her strength." "But if she doesn't get up now we may have to leave her or carry her."

I was still way too tired to open my eyes. I tried summoning some cold wind to help me wake up. When I tried, I felt that surge of strength, and a gust of really cold wind came. I immediately opened my eyes then.

"Looks like someone is awake," James said, a little smirk on his lips.

"Yup," I said, stretching, "by the way what will I need my strength for?"

James looked at Cia, who was sitting opposite us.

"Well, while you were asleep, August and I found a dracaena," Cia said, "We called Tristen to help us fight it, and even James tried to help. But none of us could."

"We had a feeling," James continued, helping me sit up, "that maybe you were supposed to kill it. None of us could, and probably fate has it that you have to kill it."

I looked out into the trees and sighed.

"Well," I said, getting up, "let's go kill a monster."
