2. Separations

As Miley was wandering on the footpath at night, she started to cry on her sorry life. She wanted to grab someone and hug them real tight.

"Where will I go? Maybe I can go to Demi's house?" Said Miley and hugged Niley in her arms.

She turned onto the road which led to Metroville Street where Demi lived with Joe. She took out her cell phone and called Demi's house. Demi agreed for Miley and Niley to stay with them for a while till things cooled down. After 15 minutes or so, she reached their house and rang the doorbell. Joe opened the door.

"Oh hey, Miles. Come in, I'll get Demi." said Joe and gestured Miley to sit on the sofa when he went away.

Soon later, Demi came and hugged Miley. She took Niley in her arms and said, "I'll go keep Niley on the bed to sleep. You can stay in the guest room with her. Go get fresh. We'll talk about this in the morning. I'll be making sandwiches with coffee, fine?" asked Demi.

"Yeah, sure. And, Demi?" said Miley.

"Yeah?" asked Demi turning backwards.

"Thank You." said Miley and gave her a weak smile.

Since that day, Miley started living with Demi and Joe. Her life was a total wreck but somehow she managed to stay put in her work.

One day, Demi and Miley started going out to search for a house for Miley and Niley. They found one in the Metroville Street itself. After a month, Miley had moved to their new house and was settled there. She wanted to start a new life but her past haunted her.

One day, she went out to find a job for herself. After all, she's got to have some income to support Niley as well as herself. After a lot of work, she started giving guitar lessons and tuitions to kids in the neighbourhood. Her life took on a new phase.

AFTER TWO MORE YEARS

One day, Miley and Niley set out to shop for supplies. As they were in the grocery section, they found Joe. Joe invited them to their house for a while. Miley agreed that she would send Niley but she, herself has got some work to do. Joe agreed and took Niley with him to his house. Meanwhile, at Miley's house, she started cooking dinner.

"I'll finish my work till 7 pm and get Niley back by 7:30. Then we'll have dinner at 8. Perfect!" said Miley to herself.

She started chopping the vegetables and took out the required ingredients for the dinner from the cabinets and the refridgerator. After some time, she looked at the clock.

"It's 6:30. The work will be done easily." said Miley pulling her hair back from her shoulders.

At around 7:15, she looked at the clock.

"Darn it! 7:15?" she said and hurried to grab her purse. She got it and grabbed the car keys. She reached Demi and Joe's house and rang the doorbell. Demi opened the door.

"Oh hey! Come on in. I wanna show you something." said Demi and gestured her to go to the drawing room.

As soon as she entered she saw everybody. Kate, David, Joe, Selena, Kevin and Nick. NICK?! What the hell was Nick doing here?

"Hi, guys! Uhhh. Demi I think I should leave. Where's Niley?" said Miley, a bit nervous after seeing Nick.

As soon as Miley mentioned Niley, Nick made his way for Miley and slapped her real hard.

"Nick? Why did you do that?!" said Joe.

"Stay out of this, brother." said Nick turning around to Joe. He grabbed his attention on Miley again.

"You! What the hell are you doing here? You were never invited here. You loner." said Nick.

As for Miley, she was still not out of the pain of the slap. She was filled with rage for what Nick had done was wrong.

"You know what?" said Miley shifting her hair from out of her face,"I was never invited. Neither were you. I came here to take our daughter. Oh, did I say 'our'?" said Miley, in sarcasm.

"This is not funny, okay?" said Nick.

"I never said it was," Said Miley to Nick. "Where's Niley? I'm leaving," she said to Demi.

"Uhh. She's upstairs," Demi said, a little confused after the incident.

Miley rushed upstairs, grabbed Niley and sat in the car. She drove silently to her house.
