MILEY'S POV

I couldn't believe what Adam had done. It had been two years since Nick and I had separated, God knows why. Why did he take such a step when we were happy to have Niley? I didn't know in which world I was in till Adam kissed me again on my lips. I stumbled and caught hold of the sink's front.

"What are you doing, Adam?" I said, eyes wide in shock.

Adam pushed back the hair from my face and said, "oh nothing... I'm very sleepy. Can I stay here for tonight?"

I couldn't help but say yes. His house was far near the city side. I couldn't let him go all the way. It'll take a lot of time. But then, what if he takes a chance and does something mischievous? He had already kissed me where only Nick was supposed to. I was a little scared. This was an ethical situation, but then, Adam was my friend. If I take some precautions, he wouldn't do a thing. At 10:15, I appeared in my gown and sat on the edge of the bed. The pain had surprisingly decreased. I went to the bathroom and my gown from the side where the mark was. I couldn't understand from where the mark came. The bruise had started fading. I let out a deep sigh.

As I put the side of the gown back to its place, I heard the bathroom door close behind me. I turned around and saw Adam.

"Adam, what are you doing in my bathroom?" I questioned.

"Oh, nothing. Want to have some champagne?" asked Adam.

"Yeah, sure." I said and gestured Adam to go out.

After he went out, I also went out.

Man, that was close. What if he had gotten inside when my gown was not in place? I thought.
