8. Heartache

MILEY'S POV

I couldn't sleep the WHOLE night. I couldn't call anybody because they might be sleeping, I couldn't wake Niley up, I couldn't SLEEP.

I changed my position several times in bed and tried to shut my eyes but couldn't succeed. The first thing I had to do was check if I was pregnant or not. The thought of even getting pregnant again made my heart race faster.

At around 6 am, I got up from the bed and walked towards the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. Then I decided to take a one-hour bath.

I got a fresh pair of jeans and a dark red sleeve-less shirt. I hopped into the bathtub as soon as the hot water was ready. I put my head back and relaxed.

It felt great to just shut yourself out of the problems in life. Even if it is for an hour or so.

At 7:30 am, I went to make some coffee for myself. Before that, I went to the porch and took today's newspaper. I picked it up and went back into the kitchen.

I placed my coffee mug onto the counter with the paper and tied my hair back in a messy bun.

I took a sip of the coffee. Perfect.

I took the paper in the other hand and read the day's headlines...

The usual US. Politics. Entertainment. Crime.

Once I finished my coffee, I washed the mug and kept it back on the shelf. I went to Niley's room and woke her up.

"Come on, Niles. Wake up, sweetie," I said to wake her up.

She fluttered her eyes open and saw me. She smiled and touched my cheek with her caressed hands.

It was this moment that made my heart ache for Nick. It had been a while since I talked to him and I was curious to know what made him threw me out of the house when everything was great.

I dished out my cellphone and dialled a number.
