34. Realisations.

MILEY'S POV

Was this really happening? I was going to have another child with Nick? I was tired of this cycle...

How Nick behaved yesterday was quite a mystery. He loved Selena too.

And here I was, thinking that we could save this marriage. Niley was going to go away, forever. Away from me. A tear trickled down my right eye. And then the floodgates opened.

I was in my bedroom, crying, and waiting for someone to fix this shit up. I didn't even ask Nick when Niley was going to him.

"Hello?" Nick's voice came through the cellular.

"Nick, when is Niley coming to you?"

"At the end of December," He states as if it were nothing.

"Nick, can... Can I please atleast celebrate New Years' with her? She'll be with you in the starting of January," I try to negotiate.

"Miley.... O-Okay."

Finally, Nick had agreed. Without saying a goodbye, I hang up and move to Niley's room.

"Hey, Niles?"

Niley gets up and comes to me. I pick her up and lead her to my own bedroom. Sitting her down on the bed with me, I continue.

"I gotta tell you something," I say and look at her. She just gives me a nod.

"Mom and Dad are breaking up. We... Will no longer be together."

She just stares at me wide-eyed.

"And... You're going to have a baby brother or sister soon."

"Mom..." Niley whispers.

"Let me finish, babe," I say stopping her, "And you... You will be staying with your dad from now on."

"Wh-what? Mom..."

"Niley, you're staying with your dad from January onwards. You'll be staying with Dad and Aunt Selena. She'll be your mom then."

Realisation hits me. Selena was going to be Niley's mother.

Without saying a word, Niley just hugs me. Tears roll down her cheeks and stain my shirt. I pull her onto my lap and hug her back, rubbing her back for comfort.

Tears roll down my cheeks as well, finally realising how Niley had changed my life for the best.

NICK'S POV

"When do we get married?" Selena asks, her face close to mine as she sits facing me, on my lap.

She has her hands wrapped around from the back of my neck and I have my hands around her waist.

"Soon," I reply and smile.

She frowns in confusion and I show her the divorce papers.

"She signed it?" She jumps in excitement.

I nod and she kisses me, happiness evident in her kiss.

"I have a favour to ask, Nick."

"Ask away..."

"I was thinking we could get married next month itself? I want to be with you as soon as possible."

"Don't you get hasty now," I say and wink.

I pushed back her bangs so that I could see her eyes. God, she was my everything.

I felt sorry for the way I acted with Miley. But we were no longer together now. She was single, I was single. Now I could freely be with anyone I wanted to.

Guys, there has been a change in the last chapter. I'm cooking up something and I think it'll be worth it.

There's gonna be an epic turn in the story after Selena and Nick get married.
