He felt like he was floating in the air, below him was a village lit in monsterous red flames, fiercely spreading everywhere. The once lush green trees were now black and dead, burnt alive, houses which were full of people were either evacuated or swallowed by the ocean of fire. The screams and shrieks filled the air with people searching for their loved ones. He couldn't feel anything as if he wasn't even there but the yelling, crying and pleas made his heart ache like several arrows hitting at one place.

In between the chaos stood a couple hiding behind one of the demolished walls, a blanket in their hands which was covering a crying baby. The woman was weak but unnaturally calm like she always knew this day would come. She had beautiful raven hair which almost looked red in the fire, and a crying baby in her left arm, who was oblivious about the current situation. The blonde man had one hand around her waist and the other holding her hand, gently.

"When the darkness goes away

When the evil with sink

There'll be another bright day

And I'll be next to you again

When everything will be alright

And I'll see you again

Until then you'll just need to fight

And I'll be next to you again

When you are crying

Just remember I am beside you

Even in your lonely days

Just remember I'll be next to you

...

Forever and always"

The woman sang the lullaby as if it was her last time. The baby's crying stopped and it drifted to sleep.

"You can't hide forever, Athena and Eric," a shrill voice said. It felt burning as fire yet colder than ice making his goosebumps rise. Suddenly out of nowhere a lady appeared with skin so pale it almost seemed grayish white, colourless lips, black and gray eyes that resembled nothing but evil. Straight white hair topping to her waist, not even one strand out of place. A sadistic smile showing her sharp canines and her black body-fit gown that seemed as if it was made out of a snake's skin.

"Peek'a boo!" The words were sharp enough to cut through metal.

"Leave us alone!" The man yelled "please," he added as a tear flicked from his eyes.

"You are a pity, dear Eric but now that I have finally gotten my hands on the volerstyl, soon your power will be all mine" she said sadistically.

The woman called Athena passed the baby she held to Eric and smiled like that too was the last time she was seeing him.

"I love you Eric, i really do, but please" her voice breaking "please take Ashton and run, he... you, don't deserve this... i will handle her, please go"

Eric couldn't believe what the love of his life just said, he couldn't do this, he couldn't leave her alone... ever.

"I cant, I wouldn't "

"Go Eric its for ashton's sake" she pleaded

"I love you athena" " and i'll be back, i swear" after that the man started running towards the denser part of the forest.

"So he ran? Well i'll get to him later, let's start with you huh?" The white haired lady held out her hand and Athena fell on her knees white thread-like structure coming out of her body and ending in the thin pale hands of the lady, weakness taking over her.
