14 | A Class with Gravell

Kai's POV

"her name... was Querda"

The room went silent.

"but she was defeated and magicshille was joyful once gain" "now open your books and start reading from the first paragraph"

The whole class continued but my mind was still occupied by the information I had just heard. Querda it sounded familiar and ran chills down my spine.

I couldn't help but think about the dream from last night.

It was a lady with shining blonde hair in a white dress. I couldn't see her face but I knew it was beautiful. Her hair reached her hips and her voice was soft and soothing, almost like a lullaby.

"Be brave my child"

These were the words that she said. But just after saying that she vanished. The next thing I saw was a deathbed. I couldn't see whose it was but the same blonde hair flowed out of the coffin. Everyone was dressed in black and white, tears of sorrow coming out of their eyes.

"Don't leave me alone you idiot. How am I supposed to take care of our daughter?" A man's voice said, cracking.

I blinked and my surroundings changed again. It was a barren land, bloodshed everywhere. My headaches when I heard screaming, dying.

That's when I woke up and found myself back in my room. It was the middle of the night and I didnt want to disturb anyone so I crept out of the dorms and went outside.

I don't know why but I felt sad. Everything made me sad. They roamed in the open grounds for a while trying to clear up my mind but then the scent of chocolate crossed my nose. I followed it and found myself at the school bakery. A fat middle aged man was mixing chocolate batter.

I chatted with him for a while and the sugar around me made me feel relaxed.

He offered me some cookies which I happily took and crashed into Ashton. He also didn't seem to be having a nice night so I gave him a cookie.

At first he refused, can you believe it?! He refused a COOKIE?!

Anyways the rest of the night was not anything unusual but the dream was still bugging me too much.

The first half of the day went fine. Suddenly I had the idea to check the library for more information about the dragon and collar.

"Psssst Ashton" I whispered.

"What?" He sneered.

"Did you like the cookie I gave you last night?"

"It was fine, but don't mention last night again we don't want the academy to know we were roaming around past bedtime" he said sternly.

"I see, meet me in the library after this class I have something important to discuss" I say getting to point.

"You, important? No" he scoffed.

Oh come on! Why can't people take me seriously?!

"It's about yesterday" I whispered in a low voice and he nodded, not asking any more questions.

I told the same to Conner and Ally but Brianna and lexi had lunch duty for breaking rules on the first day. How?

Conner was skateboarding in the middle of the corridors, lost control and tripped a teacher and she was not so happy about it.

Lexi had posted a 'kick me' note behind Ashley's back and Ashley made up a big sob story about it and told one of the teachers.

Brianna was wearing too 'fancy' clothes and when one of the teachers complained about that Brianna scoffed and talked about how bad the teacher's fashion sense was, from the top to the shoes. The teacher was as red as her lipstick after that.
