7 | A Riddle

Everyone gathered around the stage where headmistress Braveheart stood.

"Good morning first-year students, you know why we are gathered here. If you don't then you should have looked at the corner of the event of your academy diaries more properly" there was a round of chuckles.

"First I'll be speaking about the diamond league, which will happen simultaneously as your classes. It will also test your skills and play a role in your grades. They will be held every two days every two weeks, that is Friday and Saturday. In the diamond league, you will be paired up with one team every two weeks. One of the shillejewels will be hidden somewhere in the grounds of Magcshille," she paused

"both of the teams need to find the assigned shillejewel and battle each other. The team with the most points wins. Points will be counted according to the method you used, and your skills during the battle. To find the place where the shillejewel is hidden there will be clues lying around the castle when the classes are going on, you need to use a little bit of your brain and find out. Everyone knows how the battle is done, you will first transform into your super form. There will only be seven ability commands each person can use after the seventh command; it will only be a matter of minutes until you detransform, so choose your commands carefully."

Kai had always been a very big fan of the diamond league. Her mum also was a big fan of the diamond league at least that's what her dad said.

"By the end of the year the team with the most points wins the title of diamond knights" there was a roar of excitement from the crowd including me. I wanted that title because it was her one and only goal. It was one of the many reasons why Kai chose Magicshille. "But now first you need to find the rest of your team members and this year we'll be trying a new method to do that"

Kai almost forgot Magicshille academy always comes up with some new ways of uniting the teams for the diamond league?

Suddenly many small white strips started to fall from the sky. One of them hovered around Kai and attached itself to her wrist, like a bracelet.

"You all have gotten a white bracelet that has a riddle on it. The task is simple, solve the riddle and when you find the place the riddle leads to. When you do that three random dorm options will appear and you will choose anyone. And that will be your paired dorm." "Now go use your brains while I enjoy seeing you do that" she finished with a wink.

Kai stopped paying attention to the stage and looked at her wrist and saw:

And then she looked at Ally and Lexi. Ally seemed to still be studying at the strip on her wrist while Lexi gave her the 'I-have-no-idea-what-it-says' look. she realized Brianna was still not here but then suddenly-

"Hey, you guys!" well look who's back.

"Where were you, Brianna?"

"Oh I- um got lost and then this strip got attached to my hand and then I saw you guys so I rushed here" she explained.

"Do you have any idea what it says?" she asks, figuring that Kai must have read it.

"Does it look like this stupid face does?" Kai said, pointing at her unintelligent face. (Kais words not mine)

"No, but we'll be able to solve it. I mean we got Ally and she does read a lot of books so it should be fine" Brianna said and we all turned to look at Ally. Her gaze finally shifted from her wrist to their hopeful puppy dog eyes.

"W-wa-wait no, I only read s-story books and fairy tales, and trust me Cinderella clearly does NOT teach you how to solve riddles" she denied.

And with that, they all had our hope sucked out of them.
