sohye stayed home the next day, the date with jisung not having gone well. he wasn't the problem, the sushi was. she always knew it was her greatest enemy, but to make her sick was cruel.

she spent the entire day in bed, listening to music through her wired earphones and rested her eyes. she found it funny that throughout the entire day, jisung has been texting her about each and every thing he did. the boy was clingy, but most girls say that's good so sohye chose to believe it.

as she opened her eyes, sohye jumped at the sight of her father at her door. he was just watching her, and also got surprised when she looked. "thought you were sleeping."

"no, just listening to music. why aren't you at work?" the girl was used to not seeing her father around much, sometimes even feeling like a stranger to him.

her father sighed, pointing outside, "i just got here, forgot some diagnostic runs. i'm leaving soon."

"oh. okay." the girl turned around in her bed, not having to face her bedroom door to watch him leave. she hated watching him leave.

the silence was loud, her father's presence was still there.

"you look so much like your mother." she heard from the door, footsteps telling her that he was gone. sohye sat up in her bed, looking back to where he was previously standing. her dad never mentioned her mom, and he sure as hell never said anything like that.

sohye assumed her dad held resentment, this being why he never really stuck around for long. she misses him when he's gone, sometimes she feels like an orphan. he must really be mad that her mom left just like that, ignoring it often. it's almost like being with sohye makes him feel guilty.

she hoped that wasn't the case, she loved her father so much. sohye knows what her mother did left some scars, but still, she can't help but be happy for her.

sohye was bored, standing up from her bed and becoming nauseous again. she hated food poisoning, it made her feel like absolute shit. deciding to get things done, she looked around her room, not an inch of her real wall showing since it was covered with tapestries, posters, spray paint, and random pictures.

she was getting bored of her wall mural, smiling as she ran to the bathtub to fill a bucket with water. she also grabbed a rag, struggling to walk back to her room as the water bucket with soap was very heavy.

in her room, she got on her knees and started scrubbing her wall. the paint came off easily, sohye not being surprised, this wasn't her first time.

after the wall became blank, she tilted her head to try and imagine what she should create. it was something she had to be comfortable with looking at, every single day and night until she moved away. well either that or got bored and washes it off again.
