sohye had her backpack tightly held onto her arms, as she made her way to the multi purpose room. the prom committee meeting was being held there, and she wasn't looking forward to it.
however, it was a new experience and she was always open to have a new adventure. the girl opened the two doors and jumped at the loud sound they had made, everyone inside turning to look at her.
it was quiet for a moment until jisung clapped and ran to her as others continued on with their work.
jisung found himself next to her and smiled, waiting for her to say something with eager eyes.
"it looks empty." sohye nodded, looking around at the boring room.
"well, duh. we only started decorating yesterday. besides these are just the necessities. the poll for choosing what the prom theme is hasn't ended yet so we can't do anything drastic until thats done. but right now, under the moon is winning." jisung explained, sohye smiling at the theme.
she looked at him and pointed at her moonstone, the two sharing a small giggle. "i love the theme."
"did you vote?" jisung asked, sohye shaking her head.
"i dont really believe in that whole voting thing. i mean, of course, when im over eighteen i will vote for politics and such, but otherwise it seems like an inconvenience." the girl told jisung, unaware of how in awe he was.
"that's so cool, you know i wish i could be more like you. you're the greatest person i know." jisung grinned, as a boy walked up to the two, interrupting their moment.
jisung looked up and rolled his eyes, seeing seungmin with a clipboard. the boy wanted to whine, but he didn't because he wanted to look cool in front of his crush.
"the people here usually help, here. try not to waste time or you'll be kicked out of prom committee." seungmin told the new girl with a straight face.
she raised an eyebrow, looking at jisung and back at seungmin.
sohye never really liked seungmin, and she knew the feeling was mutual. they were on the complete opposite spectrum. he stood for everything she didn't, so they were bound to clash.
"i didnt know you were so serious about prom, seungmin." the girl innocently smiled, watching her friend also chuckle.
seungmin furrowed his eyebrows slightly, the first expression he has worn. "i dont care about prom, i care about extra credit. we don't all pretend to play magic and have no hope for our future."
