that monday, sohye was back at school, feeling all better. last thursday, jisung surprised her with soup. that was the first time he was ever inside her house, and he caught her at a bad time. she was wearing clothes full of paint, and was sweating an awful lot from having the air off and the windows open to let out the paint fumes. jisung, regardless, was an angel throughout it.

he explained that seungmin dropped him off, not really touching more on the subject. he didn't stay long, but it was clear he wanted sohye to feel more comfortable with him. that still hadn't happened.

as she walked in the hall with jisung, they approached the three boys at jeongin's locker. they quickly quieted down as they saw them, the atmosphere somehow becoming dull. "good morning?"

"i have to go.. mr. kim needs me to um, clean.. the board." hyunjin lied, a fake smile on his face as he walked away. he clutched onto his over the shoulder bag, looking back as he eyed jeongin and felix.

jisung rolled his eyes, knowing this was about seungmin and how they all are aware of their argument. he assumed they'd be okay with it, but apparently telling seungmin to stop going to lunch was a bit over the top, none of them agreeing with it. "okay, what were you guys talking about?"

"just stuff. i need to go to homeroom and study for a bit." felix waved innocently, going in the same direction that hyunjin did. sohye knew something was going on by that time, turning to face jisung. he also seemed upset, but when he noticed sohye had her eyes on him, his smile grew back to normal.

jeongin opened up his locker, beginning to put random things inside to preoccupy the awkwardness. he turned around, looking at jisung, "they just... yeah. it'll be fine."

"it's okay, i don't care. sohye and i were planning on cutting school today anyways." jisung shrugged, the girl turning to him. "i mean.. if that's okay."

"no prom decorating?" she asked, and jisung shook his head. if they wanted to be mad, he didn't care. he was in a loving relationship with someone who truly got him, he'd be fine without them. especially seungmin.

sohye shrugged, jisung wrapping his arm around her as they both headed back to his car. jeongin watched as they left, running straight to other boys as he watched them walk out.

jiyoon found seungmin in the morning once again, giving him the daily updates that he already knew about. "also, the dance room is closed this week. announce it to everyone please, apparently people like eating in there for lunch— who knows why."

"why is it closed, do you know?" seungmin looked over at the significantly smaller girl. she adjusted her glasses, shrugging. "oh right, you just hear things and never ask for an explanation."

"is that so bad?" jiyoon laughed, stopping at his locker before he did. she knew the boy very well, thinking of him as more than he thought of her.
