seungmin was a very serious person, but he knew his best friend. he's goofy, he likes cliché and silly things. so that's why he was standing outside at one in the morning throwing pebbles at a window on the second floor.
jisung opened his window, wearing a smile that dropped as he saw the boy outside, "go home!"
quickly after, the boy closed the window as seungmin huffed. he took is as a challenge, walking closer to the tree right in front of jisung's window, and knew what he had to do.
carefully calculating it in his head, the un-athletic boy rubbed his hands together and began to climb it. reaching the middle, he grabbed onto the slight balcony jisung had, hopping on top of the railing instead.
knocking three times, the familiar appearance showed itself again, "can't you just give up?"
"can i just explain myself, apologize?" seungmin frowned, the other scoffing.
"no, you can't. see, unlike you.. i'll just be honest, i don't see us ever being close again. trust me, i still care about you but i just can't have you in my life anymore, you did the worst thing someone could do... i would have never done that to you." jisung explained, the sensitive boy already tearing up.
meanwhile, the boy who built up thousands of walls just stared at him. it hurt alot, but he couldn't bring himself to express it the way he needed, the way he had to show jisung.
"i know." he nodded, messing with his chin, "i've told myself that countless of times, and you absolutely have the right to never talk to me again. but i just— i can't stand the idea of knowing you can't look at me anymore or that you don't even know who i am anymore. look, i had a lapse in judgment, something i can promise you will never happen again. i want to take it back, i swear i want to take it back so bad."
jisung looked down, shaking his head, "you're just saying this because you feel guilty of how i'm treating you now."
"no, that's not it. i knew it the second it happened that i shou—"
"what did happen? i mean.. i don't even know what happened. and why did it happen, how?"
the apologetic boy was taken aback, not knowing if he should actually respond, "we only ever kissed. it was the day before you guys broke up, at lunch. but look— i didn't do it to hurt you. i swear to god, every single time i looked at her in that kind of way i only thought of you after. i knew it was wrong, i reminded myself constantly it was wrong... i just..."
"you fell in love with her, right? i mean, i would hope if you're going to betray me like this it would be because of your overpowering feelings and not just some sex drive thing." jisung finished it for seungmin, investing more into what happened.
