...One Week Later...

It had been a week since the girls devastating loss at the Inter-high prelims and Suzume, as captain, was already getting the girls right into training.

Some were excited with the extra practice going on while others would complain, all in good fun of course. Sure, they moaned and groaned about it, but secretly they were grateful that she was pushing them all to get better.

After all, that was the only way they were going to make it to Nationals.

They had just finished morning practice and were currently in the changing rooms chatting.

"Come on Captain!"

"Yeah! One day won't hurt!"

The girls had been pestering her for a day off, but she was still a little sceptical.

"How about Sunday?"

"Captain, we already have Sundays off." Suki, one of the wing spikers deadpanned while the others stifled their laughs.

"Oh, so that should be good then, right?" She teased, trying not to giggle.

"Captain!"

"Alright! Alright let me think. Uh... hmm, then how about we take the afternoon off on Wednesday."

"We'll take it!" They chanted excitedly before suffocating her with a group hug.

"You guy better not slack off!"

"Ah we won't, quite worrying." Suzuya said prying the girls from her. "Argh, I regret saying you should be captain."

"Hey! That's mean Susu-chan!"

Suzume and Suzuya were sitting in a half empty classroom chatting before going to meet the others for lunch. They were catching up on some 'girl talk' after Suzuya had complained about the lack of it due to Atsumu always stealing her.

They were giggling about the twins when a couple of girls made their way over to them, a deadly look in their eyes.

"Hi, can we help you?" Suzume asked raising a brow.

"Look, we just want to know, why are you always spending so much time with the volleyball boys?" The girl said with a nasally voice.

"Because we're friends?" Suzume said in her normal 'to the point' way.

"You realise they are way out of your league, right?" The fake girls said as if it were the most obvious thing and Suzume laughed. 'Of course, I know that...'

"So? That doesn't mean I can't be friends with them."

Suzuya looked mad, she too hung out with the boys, yet they weren't targeting her. 'These assholes have been targeting Suzu-chan since she set foot in this school.' She was pissed at them for picking on her bestie.

"I bet you've slept with all of them, you're such a whore." The red haired girl spat and Suzuya's hands clenched in to fists but Suzume shot her a warning look, letting her know not to interfere.

An amused laugh left the olive eyed girl's lips and she stood up from her seat looking at friend who was beyond mad.

"Come on let's get some lunch." She said gesturing for her to come along.

Suzuya was quiet the whole walk towards the boy's table. She wasn't a very passive person, especially when it came to others talking about her friends, so she hated that Suzume wouldn't let her say anything to those rude girls.
