A few hours later, the airplane landed in New York. Clare was excited because the band contest was soon after she was settled into the hotel.
She was all unpacked after getting to the hotel and only having an hour to get settled. It only took her ten minutes to unpack everything. Soon, it was time for the contest. If she won, Troy would take her out on a date to celebrate.
All of the rest an students were ready. The judged would have each one of the students play individually and then they would deter an the winner. If Clare won the contest, she would be awarded 200,000 dollars. She was excited and she hoped that she would win
The contest went on for 4 hours. Clare was tired and she wanted to go to bed, she was starting to get a mi8graine and she was having a hard time focouing. Soon, she was on the ground. Thankfully she had played her piece of music with the clarinet before falling to the ground.
She was brought to her room to rest after the winner was revealed. She had won the contest! Everyone was so happy. Nothing would stop her from becoming the famous clarinet player that she had always wanted to become.
Troy held on to the paycheck until Clare was all better. He would give it to her when she was read to be a part of the convention again. Now it was time to rest.
