The hours seemed to go by slowly. Where were Elizabeth's parents? They said that they would be gone at least 2 hours. Now it was 6 hours and they still weren't home yet. Clare tried to call them but they didn't answer the phone. Fear boiled inside of Clare. Then she started to cry.
She was scared. She didn't know where Elizabeth's parents went and she hoed that she would be able to find them. Soon, she went out on a joinery to find Elizabeth's parents. She wanted to bring them home. She missed them so much and she would do anything to spend time with them.
The journey continued on for many more hours. Soon, Clare reached the 800 mile mark. She reached this mark only to find out that Elizabeth's parents were in a car accident. They had died a few hours after arriving at the hospital. Clare was devastated and going to the funeral was going to be the most painful thing that she could ever go through. Now she would have to suffer in silents because none of her friends would comfort her.
The funeral was tough to sit through. Clare was all alone and no one would comfort her. She cried and cried as the organ played. It seemed as if all would be lost forever. She made thfrough the funeral with a burning hoot face and now she had to go through the line at lunch. It wa going to be harder than ever to make it through this. She wanted to eat everything in site. People ate as much as they could and finally everything was over. Now it was time for Clare to find a new family to live with until she graduated high school.
