Lostprophets - Where we belong

(Don't judge me for liking them still. They make great music and I like them so what?)

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

The same repetitive tone kept going off as I started to open my eyes. I slowly focused on the people gathered around my bed.

"Ohh shit." I muttered.

My mum, dad and their partners were stood on oneside with my brother as on the otherside were my friends from the race, plus Tray's parents and Markie. Nick's arm was in both a cast and a sling.

"Wh-where's Jack?" I asked. I don't know if I hit him or not all I remember is him being infront of me as I tried to swerve around him.

"You're first concern is some boy!" My mum screamed. "You almost died Naiome!"

Luckily her boyfriend took her out the room. I looked at Nick for an answer.

"He's in a higher level risk room. When you started to swerve I tried to pull him out the way but it took a lot more to get him at least a safe distance. The tail of the car swung round and like a baseball bat hit him for a base. He collided with a tree nearly twenty metres away. He barely has a whole rib without a fracture and his left leg and left arm are in casts till the bones heal."

"I need to see him." I said. "I'm going to see him where is he?"

"He's next door but do you really want to go in there?"

"I'm pretty sure its me who put him in that bed so yes I want to see." I started to stand up out of the bed suprised that I had no casts just a neck brace and a few bruises and stitches here and there. I stumbled along the corridor to Jack's room. The door was open and just seeing the damage I'd done from here I felt like I was being stopped by a wall of glass. Zack, Rian and Jack's immediate family were all sat looking at Jack, their eyes were filled with hope.

Zack saw me from his place nearest the door and he carried me into the room. Smashing the mental glass wall I put infront of myself. No-one said anything when I was brought into the room and sat down in the nearest seat to Jack. He looked so peaceful and innocent yet here I was the cheater, the inflicter.

Everyone had left the room silently leaving me with Jack.

"Jack I'm so sorry I don't even know what happened, I tried to avoid you I really did but clearly I hadn't tried hard enough. I'm so sorry its bad enough I cheated on you with your best friend, when I was drunk. Even worse that I didn't try and apologise straight away, that I tried to keep you away from Alex. I'm so sorry Jack. As soon as you're better I'll go. I don't want to hurt you anymore." I kissed his hand and his forehead before leaving his room to go back to mine.

"In the news tonight, 20 year old Naiome Young has been admitted to hospital along with an un-named individual due to a crash occurring at her old training track known as Last Tarmac. Young's car was reported to have collided with the individual as she came through a corner. The police have filed this under accidental injury due to the fact the individual should not of been on the track. We are waiting further news and so we go to our reporter outside of the hospital..."

"Yes Naiome Young has been admitted to this hospital facing multiple fractures to her pelvis and lower ribcage. Her brother has just came out of the hospital now and we're going to try and get a word with him now."

Nick was stood outside the hospital as the camera crew tried to get to him they managed to however and Nick kept pushing people away saying no comment. Till he gave up.

"My sister is one of the most determined women there is today. She just wants to recover and asks that she is left in peace whilst she does so."

"Who is the other person?"

"A very close person to us both, we wish that you please leave both my sister and himself alone whilst they recover."

"And there you have it ladies and gentlemen we now can identify the gender of the individual still unsure as to who it may be."

"Naiome?" Rian was behind me.

"Yes."

"Jack's asking for you. He's awake."

Rian led me back to Jack's room and he was smiling at me despite the gashes on his face Jack was smiling at me.
