Luke's POV
"Unbelievable!" I spat. "Absolutely unbelievable!"
Liam asked for me to come speak with him, where he proceeded to tell me that I have inappropriate behavior towards Nezbit.
I huffed"Where is this even coming from?" I huffed feeling aggravated. "You didn't care all this time, and now you do all the sudden?"
"That was up until last night, and you told me you have feelings for her!"
"So what? Nothing's going to happen!" I argued.
"Luke, you've already slept with her!"
"Come on! She was scared, the whole fair thing freaked her out."
"Oh, yeah, well I guess that makes since." He nodded.
"Yeah." I agreed.
"Other than the fact that you slept with her the night before we went to the fair."
I sighed, rubbing my temple. "This is my life Liam, I'm a grown man."
"And, Luke, she's a kid."
"She's fifteen! God damn, you sound like Calum! You make it sound like I'm a rapist!"
"Luke, you know that's not what I'm sayi-"
"You know, of all friends I thought you would support me with this!" I huffed.
"Support you?!" He scoffed, "Have you gone mad? Why would I support this?"
"Not the fact that I like her, but the fact that I like to be around her. At least it's not just, some dog!"
"She's as useful as a dog! If you were getting jumped? What do you think she'd do? Huh?" He shook his head, and answered before I could, "Stand in the distance and cry. If not, she'd get jumped herself.. Then what?"
"That's not the point Liam! I don't like her because of what she can and can't do for me!"
"But what if-"
"What if, what if?" I mocked, "Why is everyone always asking that stupid question?" I shake my head, "Why don't they just live their god damn life's and be happy?"
"Because we have jobs and-"
"To be happy." I interrupted, I had half of a smirk on my face as I pointed at him, already feeling as if I won the argument.
"What?" He huffed.
"You have a job, to make money, to get a huge ass house," I said gesturing to his home in general, "so you can be happy. Oh, but are you? Think about it. Are you truly happy, Liam?"
"I may not be there but it's only because there's a few things missing like a wife and-"
"I have nothing missing! I am happy, with Nezbit. Wether she's the girl I travel with, or not, as long as I'm with her. I like how we are with each other. I'm not going to change the way I act with her, ruining my happiness."
Liam shook his head on disappointment.
I didn't care of course, I meant what I said. No one was going to change my mind about how I was with Nezbit, unless it was Nezbit herself.
Liam frowned in frustration, it was the first time I saw the slightest amount if anger in him. "Luke, sometimes I wish you'd just step back and review your decisions! I wish I didn't have to just sit here and watch you be such an idiot!"
I shook my head biting my lip. I let out a sigh. Licking over the mental that pierced my lip, I finally looked him in the eyes. "Alright." Is what I said. "You know, you welcomed me into your home, and you don't want to see me be an idiot anymore. Letting me stay here was a very kind gesture. If you don't want to see me be such an idiot, you won't."
