Chambre de Chasse Pt 2

 Everyone ran around trying to find their keys Elijah said "What was my relationship like with your daughters?" dad said "The irony of you expressing interest in the family..." he said "Listen, I got nothing to go on here. You help me, we all get out of here." Dad said "The day they were born, you gave Hope this." dad handed Elijah the stuffy and said "You gave Hope her name. As for Ember you never really had an interest with her." I said, "Your attention was very much taken by my mom and Hope, I spent most of my time with aunt Bex and Uncle Kol." I walked out as Kol and Marcel did as well, I said "Find anything?" Kol held up his key and said "How come you haven't been looking Miss thang?" I said, "Because I know where my key is, Hope, is my twin sister I know her better than I know myself." Marcel said, "Then where is it?" I walked to Kol and stuck my hand inside his pocket and as I pulled the key out said "In the pocket of the one person who literally saved my life." 

(Flashback)

(Trigger Warning attempted suicide)

(3rd POV, the twins were 10)

Kol got a call from a distressed Hope who said "Uncle Kol! We need you like now, please!" Kol said, "Hope, whats wrong?" Hope was in tears, Kol was already running as quickly as he could to New Orleans as Hope said "I smell blood, she is locked in the bathroom and I can't get a hold of mom, or Freya, or daddy. I can't get in please help me, she is gonna die!" he could hear his 10-year-old niece banging on a door, he said "Who is in the bathroom Hope?" his heart sunk as she said "Emmy!" he pushed himself to a speed he didn't even know was possible. He made it to where Hope was crying while banging on the door and she was right they could smell blood. He threw his phone on the door and pulled Hope back before kicking down the door and pulling his niece from the bathtub. He quickly bit his arm and forced his blood down her throat, Hayley, Marcel, and Freya ran in the bathroom to see Hope crying, Kol terrified with his wrist against her youngest daughter's mouth, who had her eyes closed and blood pouring from both her wrists. 

She screamed and dropped down to her knees, Freya looked like she was about to cry, and Marcel looked sick to his stomach. Kol pulled his wrist away as the cuts on her wrists started to heal. He held her face and said "Come on Emmy, come on. Please wake up. Please." she gasped awake, Kol and Hayley pulled the 10-year old into a tight hold and Hayley said "What the hell were you thinking?" the little girl said "I thought I would solve everyone's problems if I just went away. Daddy could come home, and Marcel and auntie Bex could get married, auntie Freya could be with Keelin, uncle Kol could see everyone again. I wanted to help." Hayley said, "Oh my sweet girl, your death is not the answer." Kol said "Emmy promise me you will never hurt yourself again, you and your sister are too important to this family, if you went away no one would be happy. You and Hope are what makes us happy." He kissed her head holding her close. 

(End Flashback)

Marcel said, "Yeah that was a bad day." I said "I know, and I was in a bad place, it had marked one year since dad stopped calling and writing us." both men hugged me and Kol said, "So I've had your key the entire time, so that means..." I said, "I may have only been 10 but that was a defining moment in my life, you taught me at that moment that I was worth living, you risked everything by coming to save me, you knew it was dangerous to be near Hope and I and you came anyway." He said "Of course I did, I was headed for you girls the moment I heard the distress in Hope's voice. I knew it was serious, and so the entire time she was crying and explaining what was going on I was already running. Tell you what though, you miss thang made me realize I can run faster than I thought I could." 

We walked into another room as Freya said "It doesn't feel real yet." Bex said "I guess I've always been jealous of her. I was jealous when I saw her with the twins. I was jealous when she got married. I guess I'm even jealous that she's dead." Kol said "Wow, that's morbid. Freya, I'm trying to sort out a puzzle. A Chambre de Chasse of this size would be constructed from the depth of memory, right? But there's a room here that hasn't existed for a century. And the girls would've never seen it." Freya said, "Oh, that's impossible." Kol said "Wiped out by a storm. The music room. Oh, I brought you there during the Christmas party, where we drank, Marcel played "Carol of the Bells," Niklaus stabbed me in the heart. You remember." Freya said "Kol." dad came in and said "Freya, what have you done?" we went to the courtyard and Freya said, "The girls asked for my help." 

Dad said, "So you decided to lend a hand in their destruction?" Freya said "The plagues are nearing their end. All it would take is one more meeting between you to end it all, something needed to be done." dad said, "I was leaving New Orleans when you struck me down." Freya said "Who's to say you wouldn't be weak again? Test the limits to lay your eyes on Hope and Em, as you did with Elijah?" dad said "Don't put this on me! I was trying to protect them. Perhaps I was wrong to have faith in you. Maybe your family obligations were infringed upon by other plans. Keelin's back, isn't she?" Frey said "Stop it, Klaus. I have sacrificed everything for you, for your daughters. I understand that you were trying to protect them, but that is not what they need right now."

Dad said "I'm their father. I decide what they need and what they don't." Freya said "Do you? Because while you were gone, I was here, with Hayley. The girls did everything we ever asked of them. The one time Hope acted out, it was because she missed her dad, the one time Em tried to..." I said, "What she means is, she cares for us." I had to cut her off quickly because he doesn't know as a child I tried to off myself. Freya said "You want to see what they do with a lifetime of missing both their parents? We have to let them make their own choices." dad said, "They're children." Freya said "Their childhood ended three days ago when they lost their mother. And as long as that magic is inside of you, Klaus, they're as good as orphaned. Look, we've all done dangerous things for family, and we've seen each other through it. Now it's their turn." dad said "Freya. You have to stop her." Freya said "No."
