I dropped down the stairs, sliding across the tiles and into the door. I had to admit, my landing skills were on point for whatever time it was in the morning.

The mirror across from me in the hall emphasised my tiredness, my hair sticking out of all places and the bags under my eyes dark and deep - I guess that's what you get for staying up late watching old episodes of Gossip Girl again and again. My 1:00am heart longed for a boyfriend like Chuck Bass, doubt there was a boy out there like him though.

I opened up the front door slowly, the sun sliding in before disappearing behind the large, blonde french fry in front of me. I smiled weakly at him, hiding the remaining sunlight with my hand. His body hung over me, his hand resting on the door frame. He was fully clothed and he had his car keys in his hands, he was obviously ready for a trip I wasn't prepared for.

"Luke, what time is it?" I mumble.

"Urr," He feels about for his phone in his pocket for a moment before checking the time, "It's 10:48."

"And why are you here? In fact, why are you even awake? It's a Saturday - a day that should be spent sleeping."

He rolls his eyes, pushing past me and heading to my kitchen. I flung the door shut, trudging off after him, "Welcome yourself in why don't you?"

He paid no attention to my snarky comment as he rummaged through the fridge, picking out my old slices of pizza and the orange juice. Luke had a tendency to make himself feel at home, not that I had a problem with that, he'd been my best friend for over 10 years.

He brought out two glasses, pouring us both a glass and sliding it over to me. I raised the glass, signalling my thanks, "So," I take a sip, the cold drink sensitive on my throat, "What are you doing here this fine morn?"

"I'm here to beg you." He chuckles, leaning back.

"Let me guess, about that stupid party tonight, yes?"

He nods, taking a sip and wiping his mouth, "I found out that Sarah is going to be there."

"And I care about Sarah because?" I say, dragging on the last 'e'.

"Because she could possibly be the love of my life."

I laughed, rolling my eyes. Luke was so dramatic, and he liked a new girl every week. Sarah was just going to be another fling. Not that she'd be much of a fling, the boy was still a virgin and was as close to losing his virginity as a horny caterpillar and a cat having a rendezvous at the local market.

"And you want me to go to the party tonight?"

"Yes, that is why I dragged myself over here."

I pondered for a moment, tapping my chin and smirking. Luke hated waiting, the impatient bastard. But I didn't really want to go to a party. Let's be honest here, the party scene really wasn't for me. I'd much rather stay at home and watch re-runs of the old America's Next Top Model.

"And what do I get out of this?" I ask, sipping again at my juice.

"I'll buy you any box sets you want." Luke smirked, damn he was good.

I nodded slowly, "Alright, fine."

Luke flung his arms in the air, his hands making fist shapes. The corners of his mouth reached his ears and his large white teeth gleamed as he grinned at me. This will just be another boring party where there is a bunch of horny teenagers getting it on in a drunk night of happiness - happiness for them at least, they just look tacky to me.

I picked up the empty glasses, waddling over to the sink and washing them. Luke coughed awkwardly behind me, "I don't suppose you could wear something, ur, nice tonight could you?"

I stop washing for a moment, looking over at him, "Are you saying my clothes aren't nice?"

"No, no! Your clothes are great..." He murmured, "It would just be good if you wore something more free or you know, teenage-ry."

"You're pushing my buttons, Hemmings."

He chuckled lightly, "Just, wear something cool okay?"

"Why do clothes even matter? I'm happy in an old band shirt and dungarees."

"Because old band shirts and dungarees aren't sexy. In fact, you can borrow one of my new band shirts and wear it with some knee length socks and some of those hipster, chunky shoes that are always on your Tumblr dashboard," Luke brushed his head for a moment, "Now that is sexy."

I chuckled slightly, "Don't go getting horny in my house young boy, we're a strictly religious family."

Luke nodded, tapping his fingers lightly on the table. I would take up Luke's offer, I just don't want to be seen as a 'slut'. Because, society is confusing nowadays. Society tells you to be yourself and wear what you want and not to let other people tell you what to wear and do and shit, but then, when you wear what you want, you're criticised for it. Not just that but the boys at school have certain expectations for us girls and giving in to their fantasies is just terrible. But the outfit sounds cute, an outfit I wouldn't mind wearing.

"Can I wear that cute, white Van Halen shirt you bought the other day?" I grinned - it really was a cute shirt.

Luke shrugged, "Yeah, whatever."

"I have a pair of those cute sporty socks to go with it and if you can get me chunky shoes by the time the party starts, I'll accept your offer, no doubt."

"Well, look who seems to be getting excited about a party." Luke smirked, "Whatever, whatever. Just come to the party with me, people think I'm friends with a bored ass chick."

I laughed at his grammar, 'bored ass chick'. Luke had a bunch of friends with a higher status than him at school but Luke always wanted to be part of their group, really. Why go for me, a mangy mutt, when you can become friends with a bunch of populars, clean-cut poodles?

Luke checked his phone, "I should go, Ben will be wondering where I am."

"Whatevs." I smile, walking him to the door and pushing him out slowly.

He walked slowly down the front path, swinging his car keys in his hand. His car was parked out the front, the sun reflecting off of it's shiny surface. He turned before opening the door, "Don't forget to wear a cute damn outfit, ya hear? I'll be here at 7:30 - be ready."

I did an army salute, laughing at myself, "Aye aye, captain."

He smirked, dropping into the drivers seat and driving off. I shut the door behind me, slowly making my way upstairs and into my room. I had nearly 10 hours to prepare myself, time to go to bed.
