SUNDAY - OCTOBER 7TH / SMOKING WEED
Calum had called me in a pretty frantic state. It was only 11 in the morning and I was already heading towards the forest where we first missed a class to hang out. I was worried. I had never heard Calum like that and I could hope that it was because he was overly excited. But I highly doubt that was the case.
He was sitting against a tree, his head facing down as I pushed through the bushes. His hand was bloody and from what I could see, his neck was quite bruised. I had no idea what was going on.
"Calum? What happened?" I asked, crouching down in front of him.
I put my palms on his cheeks, lifting his head up to look into his eyes. There were dark circles around them again and he had a few slashes on his face. He was crying and from the stains on his cheeks, it looked like he had been crying previously.
"Cal. Oh my God, what happened?" I mumbled.
He shook his head but kept his head in my hands. His skin was hot and basically burning my hands. What could have gone on?
"Here," I smiled, taking a tissue out of my pocket, "I'll wipe the blood off of your face."
He sighed loudly as I spat a little onto a tissue, applying it to the small wounds on his face. He hissed in pain a little as I dabbed but stayed still. His eyes were locked to mine and they were as beautiful as they ever had been. Even if the rest of his body was a little fucked up.
I cleaned the rest of the blood off of his hands, taking a seat next to him. He rested his head on my shoulder and I bent my hand awkwardly so I was able to stroke the top of his face.
"What happened?" I asked softly.
He shrugged, "Michael and I had a fight."
"And he did this?" I sounded more shocked than I wanted to. As I've said before, I had no idea what happened to Michael and I mean, apparently he can fight.
"We never fight - but when we do, it's chaos." He sighed.
"He'll get over it then." I smiled, looking down at him.
He looked up at me too, smiling a little. I thought about leaning in (I kind of hoped he would lean in too) but I pulled myself back. I couldn't fall for Calum. This was only for a month.
"Do you want to do anything today?" I asked, now resting my head on his shoulder.
"Actually." He laughed a little, "I have some of this."
He pulled out a plastic sealed wallet of a small amount of green stuff. I immediately knew what it was, gasping in shock. He chuckled lightly at my response, shaking his head and pulling out whatever roll thingy you smoke weed with.
"October 7th - the day Fran Reed tries weed for the first time." Calum smirked.
I shook my head, taking his weed creation and looking at it in detail, "I really do dislike it when you call me Fran."
"I like Fran." Calum shrugged, making a joint for himself, "But enough about that - let me light that for you."
He lit it, my nostrils tingling a bit. He showed me how to place it in my mouth and what to do - my body shaking as I followed him. It didn't feel weird. It kinda felt like smoking a normal cigarette, it was just different. I wasn't a weed expert but I'm guessing this won't harm me much.
It didn't take long for things to go a little crazy. Calum was giggling like a manic and I wasn't far behind - I kinda really wanted to climb the trees.
