▪︎ I believe Bruce Banner is SEVERELY underrated. He has always been my favorite character, so I just have to write something for him! Please enjoy and tell me if you want more Imagines of him! By the way, this takes place during AOU. ▪︎

My mind spins. Memories flash before my eyes, bringing back the trauma I tried pushing away. Needles, metal tables, scientists, being strapped down, the feeling of never ending torture.

"Let me out!"

I hear myself yelling. My crying, whimpering, pure fear. I've never been more terrified in my life. I walk around the memories, watching as my powers invade my body.

"Come in! Come in! We need help. Is anyone there?" Tony shouts into our ear pieces. "I know the team is down, but I got Hulk turning back into Banner. He's freaking out. Switching back and forth from the two." There's a pause.

"Tony, the whole team is down! That girl got to them too. Just-" I cut Clint off quickly, trying to pull myself out of the illusion.

"I've got this. I know how to deal with Banner." I say, breathing heavily and attempting to pull myself off of the ground.

"You don't have to do this, (Y/N). You seem out of it." Clint says through the ear piece. "I'm seeing what this girl did to the others and I know it's probably just as bad for you." I stand up onto my feet, dizzy as a few more visions flash before my eyes. I can see myself crying as my powers evolve. I shake my head again.

"N-No. Bruce means the world to me, I need to help him." I mutter.

"He'll understand." Clint exclaims. I stumble my way through the hall, trying to find an exit.

"Listen, if someone's coming, I need them now. I don't know how to fix this and I'm hit pretty bad because the Hulk went bonkers." Tony explains frantically. I see a doorway out and walk out, still wobbly.

"I'm coming. Clint, help the others. I'll be fine." Another memory flashes. By now I have my powers, I keep hurting others and myself, not knowing how to control it. I don't know what to do. I shake my head again, throwing away the memories. I make my way to the ship, the sun beating down on me. I can see Tony not to far past it.

I feel sweat dripping down my face and my body shaking profusely. Tony sees me, says nothing, and points me in the direction of Bruce. I look over and see him fighting himself, switching back and forth, just as Tony said.

"Are you sure you can do this? You look like hell." Tony says. I nod and keep walking. I get about 7 feet away from Bruce.

"Bruce?" I mutter. Suddenly he's frozen, stuck as the Hulk for a moment. He turns his head and looks at me, instantly growing a bit smaller. "I need you to break out of that girls trance." Bruce grows bigger again, roaring and screeching. I take a step closer as the Hulk hits himself, fighting back Bruce. "We all took a hit and we need you." I shake.

"No Banner only Hulk!" Hulk yells, continuing to hurt himself.

"Please, I'm here. Bruce." I take another step closer before another memory flashes. I see my family and me being taken away from them. The last time I ever saw them before they were killed. I suddenly feel my legs give out and I fall in front of the Hulk. I hold onto my head, shaking it and hitting it over and over. "Stop!" I scream, panicking.

"(Y/N)?" I can hear Bruce. He crawls closer to me, holding onto his now oversized pants. "Wh-What's wrong?" I look up and see his face in front of mine. Suddenly he's no longer fighting the Hulk, he's back to normal.

"She got in my head too." I mumble. Bruce helps lift me up and we walk closer to Tony. "B-But I needed to come and help you." I explain the best I can. Tony hands Bruce some clothes and grabs onto the other side of me. My eyes feels heavy, still fluttering open and closed. I look up and see Clint helping the others into the jet.

We make our way in, Clint takes Bruce's place while he goes to change. Clint and Tony set me down in the back. I look at the rest of the team. They're a wreck. Steve is next to me, rubbing his temples. Thor is pacing around, I can tell he's shaking. Nat is staring into space with an expression I've never seen on her face.

The jet takes off and suddenly Bruce steps out of the bathroom. He's covered in sweat, worried. He comes and sits down next to me. I feel a tear roll down my cheek as he sits there, breathing heavily. I suddenly feel myself cry. Bruce turns and looks at me, instantly pulling me into a hug. He quiets me and calms me down as everything keeps replaying in my head. I squeeze him tightly.

"It's okay." He mutters under his breath. I look up at him as he wipes away my tears.

"I'm sorry, this isn't like me. A-Are you okay?" I ask, placing my hand on his cheek.

"Uh, not really. I've never felt like more of a monster." He sighs. I rub his cheek lightly, gazing into his eyes.

"It's not your fault. It's Wanda's. She did this to you, she did this to all of us." I tell him. He kisses my forehead lightly.

"What about you? Are you... okay?" He asks nervously.

"No... not one bit. I just relived everything I tried getting rid of." I sigh, as I pull myself back into my hug with Bruce.
