▪︎ For background, this takes place during Black Widow. You were also on the run like Natasha and she agreed to take you along with her so you were safe together (And so she had more back up fighting the red room). This imagine takes place when Natasha and Yelena are talking at the picnic benches and taking care of Yelena's wound.
Also, you're character is from Sokovia which you'll read more about. ▪︎

I sit quietly and watch Natasha sew up Yelena. I haven't said much to either of them since we met up with Yelena. I feel like I have no room to talk. This doesn't have to do with me. I'm here because I have to escape General Ross. Natasha wouldn't just leave me there, but I don't know Yelena or the other people they're looking for.
"What's her problem?" Yelena says, snapping me back into reality. I look up at her, she stares at me. "She hasn't said a word. It's not like I don't know her. She's an Avenger! She's been on TV multiple times." Natasha chuckles and glances over at me.
"(Y/N)?" Natasha mutters. "She's fine. Just quiet is all! We've had a long few days." Yelena stares me down. "Speaking of (Y/N), can you come over here and keep stitching up Yelena, I need to go grab a few more things in the store." I smile and nod, getting up and sitting back down in Natasha's seat. I begin continuing Nat's work as she runs off. We sit in silence for a moment before Yelena speaks up.
"Sorry you're being dragged into our mess." Yelena mutters. "I know you were just trying to get away from the government like Natasha."
"I had a good reason to run from the government." I mumble.
"I'm not complaining! I would have run too!" She smiles and we both go silent. I don't have anything to say to her. I don't even know her. Suddenly, she speaks up again. "So, are you close with Natasha? I'm guessing you're pretty close, but just asking-"
"Yeah, she's like my family. Her and the rest of the Avengers." I smile.
"I mean, the Avengers aren't really the Avengers anymore though... Correct?" Yelena asks as I continue stitching her up.
"Well, yeah, but still. They all mean something to me. Nat especially. She's helped me through so much." I pause for a moment, thinking of a good question to ask Yelena. After about a minute and a half, I think of something. "Uh, h-how do you know Nat?"
"Long story." She mumbles. "In a way you could say she's my family too, but there's a lot more to it." Yelena shrugs, but I grab her arm so she can't move it. I'd rather not mess up her stitches.
"You know, Nat told me about some of the stuff that happened to her... Not all of it, but I-I know about the red room. Are you from there too?" I ask.
"Yes, I am, and what about you? Where are you from?" Yelena says, staring down at me. I cut off the thread to her stitches and sit up, admiring my work.
"Oh, I'm from Sokovia. Apart of Hydra's experiments, although I didn't willingly do it like the Maximoff's. Once we got away from Hydra though, I had no where to go, so I stayed with Wanda and Pietro. I knew they wanted revenge on Tony Stark and I went with it... Personally, I had nothing against him, but Pietro and Wanda were important to me so I helped them. Luckily, Natasha, Clint, and the others gave us a chance."
"Oh, so you did bad things too? I feel less sorry about my problems now. Good to know Nat and I aren't the only ones." Yelena quickly blurts out. My eyes widen and my heart pounds a bit hearing what Yelena said. Yelena notices my fear. "It was a joke! I was joking! You're an Avenger now. Obviously you've done good." I nod. "No need to be freaked out around me. I might have attacked Natasha as soon as I saw her, but that doesn't mean I'm terrible."
"I know. I just feel like I shouldn't be here. I haven't experienced what you two have. I'm not apart of this history." I explain.
"That maybe true, but we could really use someone like you on our team. It sure would be helpful. I mean yeah, Natasha and I can fight, but you have the real magic abilities that are super cool. You're one of the really cool Avengers."
"Thanks..." I mutter.
"I appreciate you being here, even if it was just to run from the government. I think it will make this whole situation a lot easier... So thank you I guess?" Yelena says as if it's a question.
Suddenly, Natasha returns with a bandage and some wraps. I get up from my seat and let Natasha sit back in her seat.
"So what were you two talking about?" She asks as she places the bandage on Yelena's arm.
"Just learning about each other." Yelena says and attempts to smile at me. I smile back at her and nod
