Chapter 42

I was full of excitement when we reached the resort. I can already feel the essence of relaxation and vacation. Everyone was here as well. Everyone means no Nile Veselov.

“I can’t believe you talked us into not informing Nile. He’s going to lose his mind once he finds out that you’re not in his estate… or in the city.” Belle quipped while watching me in amusement. Her husband joined her side watching me with an amused smile. Quinn and Tyler checked the room they reserved for us. Colton was having a call a few meters from us, probably having an update on his cafe.

“My vacation will be ruined if he’s here with us obviously to watch me like a damn predator. He’s going to eat me alive with all his possessiveness.” I spoke with sass. The couple laughed at my antics.

“I never once thought that Nile could lose his sanity over a woman. My best friend at that.” Quinn interjected, apparently done with the registration.

I don’t even want to think or talk about Nile right now so I ignored her statement. I’m just so exhausted with how we deal with our relationship. Wow, our relationship? We didn’t even confirm since all we did was argue.

“Even Nixon is crazy about her. You must be so beautiful, huh.” Colton swung his arm around my shoulder as he joined in the group. It was either he was joking or being sarcastic.

“Can we just go to our room? I’m tired.” I groaned.

“It was just a two hour flight. You’re exaggerating.” Colton teased as he squeezed me around his arm.

“Let’s go then.” Quinn grinned in excitement. “I rented the pool exclusively for us.” Everyone yelled in excitement. We proceed to our room to change for our mini pool party.

After settling in our room, we changed in our bathing suit and immediately went to the pool. The boys ordered for food and drinks. I went to help with the drinks since Belle and Quinn changed their orders last minute.

“You’re still so hot even with you already giving birth. How do you keep such a lovely figure, huh?” I heard Quinn teasing Belle while they were soaking in the pool. They were leaning at the side while talking and giggling like teenagers. I was approaching them while bringing their drinks.

“I know, right.” I joined in as I gave them their drinks. No alcohol for Belle though since she’s still breastfeeding her angel. I dipped my legs in the water as I sat on the ground.

Quinn rolled her eyes. “Yeah, right. You’re the one with the nicest bod here. Huge tits, perfect ass, hourglass figure.”

“No wonder Nile is crazy about you.” Belle teased.

“I would’ve said thank you for the compliment but you ruined it. And can we not mention his unholy name? I’m trying to enjoy our vacation.” The girls laughed at me before pulling me towards the water. We screamed and squealed as we played in the pool. Kyle had to scold us to be careful and not overdo it.

We spend hours on swimming, playing random pool games and eating what the boys have ordered. I was also getting a little tipsy from all the alcoholic drinks I ordered. Quinn was always reminding me not to drink too much so I was controlling my intake. Letting her see me drunk is the last thing I want to happen.

I dipped and swum for a while just to shake off the inebriation. I realized everyone was suddenly quiet when I resurfaced. As I leaned myself at the side of the pool to catch my breath, I saw an expensive pair of formal shoes just at my eye level.

I wonder who's an idiot coming here with a suit and tie. My eyes travelled towards the face's owner. My eyes widened in shock.

"What the fuck are you doing here?!" I swam back in alert.
