✿Bethane's POV:✿
Ivy and I decide to get ready in her room at her mom's hotel. We see Addison which she's made our entire family call her since Aunt Blanchard makes her sound old, standing at the counter while typing on her computer. She hears our footsteps approaching her and her mouth opens out of excitement when she looks up.
"Bethane!" She rushes over, wrapping me in a tight hug even though we saw each other at the family reunion.
"Nice seeing you too," I laugh as I hug her back just as tight.
"I was actually just about to call you," she pulls away to tell me. "I heard you were looking for a place to live and luckily, the couple that lives on the top floor is moving out in two months and is offering to sell the place at an amazing price," she explains, and I'm a little shocked because I've been panicking for so long and this is all it took.
Wait. Two months? I can't stay with Uncle B for that long. I've already over-welcomed my stay which was supposed to be a couple of days. Maybe I could live in that building that Rider was telling me not to just for the two months and then I'll move out. He doesn't have control over my life anyways. Plus, I can handle myself. It's only for two months anyway. What's the worse that could happen? I can't stay in his building in the apartment with the leak since most of my money for this apartment will probably be gone just for maintenance repairs. Then I won't be able to live here or anywhere for that matter.
This is a good thing. Now I won't have to stress about finding a place to live in and I'm getting a little help from someone, but I'm also paying for it myself.
"Here. I'll take all of this upstairs and you two can talk about Bethane living here. We can even be neighbors!" Ivy exclaims excitedly which doesn't sound too bad since she is one of the most amazing people ever.
She enthusiastically takes my bag and walks to the elevator while I go with Aunt Addison to go through all the details. I know she doesn't like it when we call her that, but it's kind of automatic due to my parents always reminding me to respectfully call my elders by their title or respond with a 'yes ma'am', so I just say Addison out loud and Aunt Addison in my head.
The price is amazing for the room Aunt Addison shows me, the neighborhood is too, and it's the perfect amount of space for me. Plus, the firm is only ten minutes away from here and the map on my phone found an inside road that escapes me from any kind of traffic.
I look it over a couple more times with the help of Aunt Addison, and once I've confirmed every detail, I go ahead and sign the contract.
Enthusiasm bursts through me because I finally got a place to stay, and right on time too. I'll just go tomorrow and sign the month-to-month lease for that other apartment, and then I'll be done with all this worrying.
Aunt Addison tells me where Ivy's room is after an hour or two of us talking about all of this, and when I knock, Ivy swings the door open with a gleaming smile.
"Did you sign it?"
I nod.
Ivy gasps like she just got hit with so many ideas. "I can try my designs on you, we can talk shit about people whenever we want, we can have sleepovers-," she rambles on and on, and if I didn't put my hand on her shoulders, I truly believe she wouldn't have been able to stop.
