✿Bethane's POV:✿
That was just a moment of weakness. Yeah. That's it. I just got...too caught up in my feelings. Yup.
I continue to watch him sleep like some creep. His hand is wrapped around my waist still as we lay facing each other. His perfectly clear skin glistens from the sun which shines through the windows. His perfectly long eyelashes are seen through his peacefully shut eyes, and his hair is a little messy but still looking...well, perfect like the rest of him does every day.
God, I love him.
Stop!
I run my fingernails through his soft hair which basically feels like running my hands through a pile of feathers. He smiles in his sleep, and I think my entire body dies right at the sight.
"Never stop doing that." His arms wrap around me suddenly and pull me on top of him, making a laugh come out of my throat.
I lay my chin on his chest and continue to rub my fingers through his hair. He leans into it and shuts his eyes further, falling into a deeper sleep.
"You're cute when you sleep," I mumble, surprised that I said that out loud, but apparently, my emotions are full of surprises.
Taking me by surprise, instead of his usual response which would've been something like "I know", he blushes. Axel Kingston Rider actually blushes in front of my face!
"Are you blushing!" I can't help but geek out at the adorable reaction.
"I'm sleeping." He can't help but smile at it either.
I think my heart just melted.
He's turning into the opposite person of who I usually am, and I so desperately want to be mad at him for it but I can't.
The doorbell rings, taking my attention away from Rider.
He groans. "You answer it," he encourages after getting comfortable on the bed.
"Lazy ass," I mumble before getting out of his hold and walking over to the front of the apartment. It's a studio size so the kitchen is right outside Rider's bedroom door and the living room is beside the kitchen. Everything is decorated in nice, white furniture and it all looks so...expensive in a sense.
I turn the doorknob, and right when I swing the door open, I'm left frozen in my place.
Oh, fuck.
I think something's going on because this cannot be a random coincidence. There has got to be a reason for this.
Rider's parents stare at me a little confused. Well, his dad seems confused. His mom is stuck in between confusion and seriousness, but that could be her natural-looking face.
They're here. His parents are here. Rider's in the bedroom. His parents are here!
"H-hi," I finally find my words after a few minutes.
"Hi, is this where Axel lives?" his mother asks me.
They saw me yesterday and I'm in his shirt which is obviously too big for me, so it's kind of hard to say no.
I decide to tell them to give me a second and quickly rush to Rider's bedroom. He's sound asleep on the bed with his elbow over his eyes to block himself from the sun.
"Your parents are here," I blurt out with no warning. Look, I don't know how to ease into things very often, and this is a very serious situation. I don't have time to slowly reveal the truth considering they're waiting at the front door.
