Woah, I'm Just A Natural Tease

I was sitting at my desk, reading the fourth text book with my head in my hand, singing softly.

"Downstairs, the enemy sleeps.
Leaving the tv on.
Watching all the dreams we had.
Turn to static.

I would rather rot alone
Than spend a minute
With you.
I'm gone
I'm gone.

And you can't stop me from falling apart.
Cause my self destruction is
All your fault.

How could you
How could you
How could you hate me?
When all I ever wanted
To be was you.

How could you
How could you
How could you love me?
When all you ever gave me
Were open wounds......."

"Ooh~! So pretty~!"

Okay, so I might have panicked. And I might have fallen back in my chair.

"Real smooth," Ikkaku laughed. He, Yumichika, and a busty red head were standing in my doorway.

"Hey now," I smirked, getting up and picking up my chair. "I am the epitome of smooth," I added, leaning against my desk.

"Obviously, that fall was planned," Yumichika chuckled.

"Down to the sound of head hitting floor," I said dramatically. "Because everyone knows how skilled I am! So, who's your friend?"

"Oh, that's-"

"I'm Rangiku Matsumoto!" The girl said, jumping forward and hugging me.

"You're... Friendly...." I said, struggling to escape.

She laughed and let me go.

"And you already know Renji," Ikkaku said. He and Yumichika both sported evil smirks as they stepped to opposite sides.

"Hey," Renji grinned. "We're both still on our feet. We're making progress."

I felt the blood rush up to my cheeks as I practically froze. I was floundering, I'm sure.

"Y-Yeah..."

Oh, come ON, Ali!

Rangiku saved me. "What're you talking about?"

Renji chuckled. "Usually when we run into each other, we literally run into each other and both end up falling."

Alright Ali, reply. Be funny.

"What are you talking about, falling? I don't know about you, but I was gracefully crash landing," I said, crossing my arms and smirking.

He laughed.

Score!

"Funny, I like that," he grinned.

"Okay, so what're you guys doing here?" I asked, turning to Yumichika before I could ruin the little progress I made.

"Just welcoming you into your new home," he said innocently.

"And we brought booze!" Ikkaku grinned, holding up four sake bottles, two in each hand.

"I can't," I sighed sadly. "I've got to study..."

"Oh come on!" Rangiku whined.

"I'm sorry, but I've really got to study," I said with finality. I returned to my seat and hunched over the book.

A hand landed beside the book and I looked to see Renji peering at it, his face right beside mine. The closeness made me blush as my heart rate sped up significantly.

He looked at me from the corner of his eye. "Need some help?"

"S-Sure," I squeaked, coughing an attempt to cover it.
