Why Bother?

"Uh, about that" Bakugo groaned.

Midoriya raised his brow, "what?"

"I'm exhausted.
I had to do hero work on zero sleep and you called me when I'm already in my PJs.

I'm not getting out of bed" Bakugo replied.

Midoriya sighed, "it's whatever. We'll do it another time.
I'll go start my shift then"

Midoriya ended the call and flew out of his agency.
It was already 2am.

Things were going as usual until his phone went off.
He picked it up.

"Hello?"

"We're going to attack the city with a couple Nomu for a days at a time

You have to stop us.
This is so you climb the ranks faster."

"Got it"

The phone call ended just as a Nomu jumped and attempted to tackle Midoriya.
Midoriya flapped his feathers hard, sending raging flames at the nomu.

He caught his phone before it hit the ground and put it in his pocket as he flew around keeping the nomu distracted.

Screams could be heard below as they saw Midoriya duke it out with the Nomu.

Midoriya flew back, keeping a safe distance from the nomu as he kept everyone else around safe.
The nomu could fly, it had wings.

The nomu launched at Midoriya again but this time Midoriya grabbed it with his hands and started to drag it up higher into the sky.
The Nomu screeched in pain, Midoriya's skin was scorchingly hot and it was burning up as Midoriya stabbed its back with his feathers.

Once high enough, Midoriya launched the nomu off of him and sent a blast of his flames at the nomu.

He ended up disintegrating the Nomu.

Midoriya sighed as he flew back towards the city, making sure there wasnt any other nomus attacking.

However...

There were.

It didn't help that he was the only hero patrolling the area either.

Using his telekinesis, he lifted up all of the 5 Nomu he saw.
They tried to break out of his telekinetic grasp but it was impossible.

Midoriya slammed the nomu as hard as possible into each other, blood ended up splattering everywhere as they exploded on one another.

Midoriya groaned as the blood that landed on him evaporated off.

The nomu were delt with.

Suddenly clapping could be heard.
Midoriya raised his brow as he looked at the ground.
The citizens who had just been saved were clapping their hands cheering Midoriya on for saving them.

"Thank you!!"

"Pro hero phoenix to the save!"

"Woohoo!!!"

Midoriya shrugged it off as he continued on with the rest of his shift.
He cleaned up the damage the nomu had left behind and made sure everyone was safe.

"I have to become the number 1 hero if I want the damage to be immense upon Japan when the reveal comes out that I'm actually a villain.

If the league is assisting then I should actually be able to do this.
Especially with how I'm working night shifts.
