We went to a small Italian restaurant in the center of the city.

Tobias and I simply talked the night away, nothing specific on our minds, just happy to be at ease for once.

"Are you staying with Christina tonight?"

"Yeah." For a moment he looked disappointed, but it disappeared before I could really see it.

"I moved out here to be with her. I really haven't got to spend time with her."

He nodded. "I understand."

I quickly change the subject. "So, I'm thinking of opening my own Interior design bussiness. What do you think?"

"I think you should go for it."

"Really?"

"Yeah, totally." He smiled, wiping his face with a napkin.

His eyebrows creased and he looked nervous for a second "Was this okay? We could have gone some where else. I mean you don't have to like what I like. I didn't even ask you if you liked Italian-"

I stopped him by placing my hand on top of his.

He glanced at our hands then back at me. Does he feel the electricity too?

I took a risk and laced our fingers. I mean he did consider this a date so why not?

I bite my lip. What if he thinks we are just friends? I mean we are friends. What if he doesn't want to be more than friends like I do?

I glance up through my lashes and he's grinning. Like a full on teeth and all, smile.

"Don't bite your lip." He says huskily, the smile still on his face but his blue eyes were clouded with something I couldn't disiffer.

"Why not? I don't realize I'm doing it." I said softly.

"Um you'll hurt your lip." He gently unhooks my teeth from my lip. His hand lingers on my jaw. Time seemed to freeze.

His touch is magnetic. I long to be closer to him, to feel more of his touch.

All to soon, his hand leaves and his cheeks tint slightly.

"Sorry." He whispers.

I shake my head, "Don't be."

He smiled his cute shy smile.

"Can I ask you a question, Tobias?"

"Sure, anything."

"Why were you at the hospital in Chicago that day?"

"I was visting my mom. She's a nurse."

I nodded. "You grew up in Chicago too?"

"Uh I'd rather not talk about it yet."

I smiled. "That's fine. Don't worry about it, there is no pressure. Plus, we don't want you to get permanent wrinkles with your forehead creased like that."

I rubbed the spot above his eyebrows to get rid of the creases. I felt him relax under my touch.

"Excuse me, Gravio's is closing now."

I giggled, "Sorry sir." I said to the waiter.

Tobias took care of the bill and we walked out together.

"Anything you want to do?" He asked softly.

"I'd love to spend more time with you, but I'm going to head home. I still need to catch up with Christina and get a good nights rest. I want to get my business license tomorrow."

"Okay sounds good. Call me if you need a ride. I have to work at noon, but if you need to go earlier, I can take you."

I climbed into his car and he started the short drive home.

"What do you do?"

"I'm a self defense instructor. I teach people simple defense moves, to make them feel confident and safer."

"That's really awesome."

We arrived at my house.

"I'll walk you to your door."

We walked the stairs to the door.

"Goodnight." He said softly, giving me a big bear hug.

I wrapped my arms around his waist, burying my face in his chest.

"Night." I smiled up at him and slipped through the door.
