Tris

I untangle myself from Tobias and sit up, crawling out of the fort.

I stretch and go to the kitchen for some water.

Tobias' phone lays on the counter charging, and I watch as a meassage pops up.

I couldn't help but read it.

Hey it's Jenesa. I had a great time at the bar on Saturday. ;)

What the fuck?

I read it over and over again to make sure I'm reading it right, and then I forward it to myself.

Tears fall silently down my face. I thought Tobias and I had started to hit it off.

I gather my things quietly and slip out the the door.

Has he been fooling me this entire time? He comforted me in my times of need, blinding me from his true self.

But yet, I thought what he had shown me, was his true self.

I walk along the quiet streets, back to my house.

It was a far walk, but it left me to my thoughts.

When I finally got home, I curled up on my bed, staring into space.

I wanted to see my mom. I had enough money for a bus ticket to take me to Chicago. It's a long bus ride, but it's cheaper than a plane ticket.

After packing a bag, I call Christina.

"Hello Tris!" Chrissy say cheerfully.

"Hey so I'm a bit homesick, and I want to visit Chicago."

"Are you sure? I mean, that's a far trip for just some home sickness."

"I want to see my mom."

"I get it. Okay, but promise me you will hang out with me when you get back. We haven't had a chance."

"I promise."

"Do you need money? I can loan you some for a flight or something."

"I really appreciate it, Chrissy, but I'm just going to take a bus."

"Alright, I will see you later, okay? Don't forget to Face Time me later!"

I laugh, "Will do, and please don't tell Four I left."

She sighed, "Just for you, Tris. I'll miss you."

I walk to the bus station, just a few blocks down, and buy a bus ticket.

It may seem like I'm running from Four, but I need my mom.

I feel like she needs to know the news about dad.

I forward the message from 'Jenesa' to Tobias and then proceed to call him a douche and crap.

I lean back in my seat. Was I doing the right thing? It feels like I'm stooping to his level.

The trip to Chicago takes two days. I'll stay for three, and then two days back.

Four

I woke to a cold fort.

"Tris?" I called out, hoping she was in the kitchen or bathroom.

With no reply, I got out of the fort and went to the kitchen.

My phone buzzed.

Tris: Fw:

Hey it's Jenesa. I had a great time at the bar on Saturday. ;)

You are such a douche. Never speak to me again.

Okay, I slept with Jenesa. In high school. On a Saturday.

I wouldn't do that to Tris.

When I dial Tris' number, it goes straight to voicemail.

The next person I call is Christina.

"Hey Four!" She greets me happily.

"Have you seen Tris?"

"Ha," She laughs awkwardly, "Funny story, I actually haven't seen her. Umm she was here, but then she left.."

"Christina, where is she?"

"I just got off the phone with her. She's fine. Give her some space, I'll tell her to call you."

"I'm worried."

"I know but she is upset."

Figuring Tris already told Christina, I explain everything.

Christina sighs, "Four, she left for Chicago. She'll be back in a week."

"I wasn't suppose to tell you." She whispers.

"It's fine. I'll just wait."

"It's the only thing you can do."

IMPORTANT:

(Hey. So I took a long time writing this chapter and I honestly don't know if I like it. I may rewrite this chapter. I had a bunch of ideas for this story, but they all left me.

Thanks for all of positive feedback! I'd like some ideas if y'all have any!
