Waking up at the break of dawn is exhausting but I was rushing with adrenaline. Today was the day I opened my bakery.
"Are excited for today, baby?" Tobias asked, rolling out cookie dough to perfection.
"And nervous."
"It's the Mad Batter! What could go wrong?" He winked.
I decided to go with Alice and Wonderland theme. It was my mom's favorite movie and book ever.
One of Christina's friends, Marlene, is an amazing artist and she helped us paint.
When you walk in, the first thing you see is the Mad Hatter with a mixing bowl. It's a such an adorable mural.
"Do you think these past three months have been worth it?" I looked up at him.
"I have no doubt. Can I ask you something?"
"Of course."
He pulled me so I was looking at him, "Will you move in with me?"
"Jeez, I thought you would never ask. I basically live there already."
He laughed, "Sorry. So that's a yes?"
"Of course, now get cookin', good lookin'."
He threw me a wink and went back to focus on his cookies.

"Look at all the people!" I shout, gazing out the big window, where people were forming a line. It wasn't black Friday big but it was perfect.
"Well we did advertise for weeks, beautiful. We knew at least a few would show up." He kissed my nose and squeezed me in a hug, "I'm so proud of you."
Tobias went to open the door and I watch from behind the register as awe-struck people walk in.
"What an adorable place! I'll have one of those cute cookies, please." My first customer said.
I thanked her and handed her a cookie.
Cake after cake, cookie after cookie, brownie after brownie, we finally close for the day.
"That was so much fun!" I squeal, launching myself at Tobias.
He laughed, "I know." He picked me up and spun me around.
I place my lips on his, both of us smiling.
"I love you." I murmur, my forehead against his.
"I love you, so much."
We clean the dishes and lock up the doors.
"Until tomorrow." I say, a proud smile on my face.
"Until tomorrow." Tobias repeats.
