Chapter 31

Vixen POV

A week had passed and my baby bump is getting bigger, it is more obvious than before. The village is also getting busier day by day and the snow are now slowly melting.

I took one last step before taking a seat in our living room. My eyes go to Kairo who is arranging the wood outside. Jiaro has gone to check the underground tunnel and weapons, the underground tunnel will be the safety zone of everybody.

All Usuros are already informed about the plan and warriors are preparing for it, there are females who volunteered to fight. According to the warriors who investigate the main land there will be about 7,000 aggressive males. Almost all of the Usuros let out a sigh of relief when they heard that because it is less to what we expected.

I check the content of my bag; it is full of clothes and has a few fruits. I place my gun inside my clothes near my waist. Today we are going to go at the main house, it is to have a closer access to the underground tunnel.

Kairo look at me while he was arranging the woods. I gave him a smile; my hands are place on my baby bump and his eyes sparkle for a moment. He quickly finishes what he is doing then he walk towards me.

"Are you tired again?" He asked kneeling in front of me.

"No, not really." He put his ear on my womb then he starts whispering.

"Hey, little boy..."

I smile at the scene in front of me I didn't think about my future way back then and being tied to a man never came to my mind but now I have two handsome males and I'm carrying their child.

We haven't decided what will the name of the baby yet but we will talk about it after we solve this problem. My eyes shifted to the approaching Jiaro, he is wearing a frown and worry filled his eyes.

"What happened?"

"Nothing, Kairo was just talking to our child" I said chuckling. He scratched his earlobe realizing what I said.

"Uhmm shall we go now?" He said instead.

I nod at him and Kairo get up. I offer my hand to Jiaro and he carry me while Kairo grab our bag. We made sure to leave the house neat and secured. I ask Jiaro if I could walk from the middle of the village to the main house and he agreed.

I saw Vexana flying above us with her bloody prey stuck in her sharp mouth. She quickly swallowed her food then followed us. When we arrive in the middle of the village Jiaro put me down and from there I started walking to the main house.

There are at least 20 rooms in the main house and we will occupy one of them. The others who will occupy the rooms are usually have their house away from the village where most houses are.

Vexana took her place in the hall where we usually eat while our room is located near the hall and in the first floor. The main house only has two floors and we selected the most convenient one for me.

Kairo opened the door of our room. There is not really furniture inside except of a set of table and chair, a king size bed, cabinets and a door leading to a bathroom. The room is not that huge but not small also it's perfect for us three.

"Will temporarily stay here up until we finish this problem with the aggressive males and the renovation of our house." Jiaro said.

Kairo neatly arrange our things and Jiaro check the rooms if there is something to fix while me, I'm seating in our bed. Through the open door I saw a bunch of Usuros from couple to family carrying their things and passing by.

A familiar face stopped in front of our door way, it's one of the three that Siya is chasing. I look at Jiaro to get his attention from checking the window and I successfully did; I point him the door and he hurriedly walk towards the man.

I notice the change of atmosphere as they talk. Kairo who was busy arranging our things couldn't help but to look at his brother. After a minute the man dismissed himself and Jiaro took his weapon.

"I'm going to the seashore because a bunch of aggressive males are forming their attacks." Jiaro kiss my temple and tuck my hair away from my face. "Be careful."

"You too, mind link us if something is wrong." I said cupping his face.

He looked at Kairo as if talking to each other before leaving us. Kairo stands up then he walked towards me.

"Everything will be okay." I forcefully smile at him. My hands are sweating cold and he can feel it.

"You should rest first, don't stress yourself it's not good for our child." He joined me to be and made me lie on his chest.

My mind cannot stop thinking, I look at Kairo his eyes are looking to the ceiling he might also thinking something. I was startled by a sound coming from my backpack, both me and Kairo immediately sit up. My forehead creased.

"Let me get your bag." Kairo grab my bag then he placed it in front of me.

I search for the thing that keep on beeping inside my bag and I found my phone was the one who's making the sound. What the hell is this. I immediately check my phone and the black screen turn into red while it keeps on releasing a beeping sound.

I tried unlocking the phone but the red screen doesn't change at all instead a bunch of unidentified letters or signs appeared. Kairo beside me look so confused as me also. After the letters appeared the sound disappeared.

"What's that--..." Kairo wasn't able to finish what he is saying when a loud boom echoed in our ears.

Our eyes landed outside through the window and we saw Usuros are running away from aggressive males. I heard a mind link from Jiaro and a curse from Kairo before he started carrying me then he started running.

Most of the Usuros are starting running to the tunnel now while those who can fight stayed to stop the aggressive males. I look back and I saw three aggressive males running after us but it was stop by a warrior but again another aggressive male appeared. Kairo put me down.

"Will you be able to reach the safety zone?" I nod at him. I can run beside the safety zone is already close here. "Good, go first I'll stop them."

"B-but..." I let out a shakily breath.

"Please." He looked at my baby bump before facing the enemy.

I started running carefully, Kairo keep on talking through mind link which I nod in response even though he can't probably see me. I keep on running until I saw the entrance of the underground safety zone.

I speed up my pace to reach at the underground quickly, I look back to see an aggressive male chasing after me. Looking back is a wrong choice because I tripped.

I hug my stomach protecting my baby from the fall. A scream came out from me when the aggressive male grabs my hair. I took my gun out and aim it to him but I missed, he looked at me angrily and started to transform into his Usuro/lycan form. I took the chance to shoot him while transforming and I successfully take him down. Only one bullet left from my gun, fvck.

I used my hand to get up but I instantly fall down due to the strong impact that hit my head. I look at the person who hit my head and I saw Cleo carrying a thick wood.

My vision becomes red due to the blood coming from my forehead and my consciousness are slowly drifting away. I mind link the two males before I finally pass out.
