Chapter 32

Vixen POV

My whole-body aches especially my head. I force my eyes to open, at first my vision is blurry but after some blinks it became clear. The voice inside my head keeps on calling my name and I saw it coming from Kairo.

Not far away from where I am lying is Kairo who's fighting an aggressive male preventing them from getting closer to me. I reassured the two males through mind link that I'm okay.

Blood pooled the ground; the dead bodies are scattered everywhere as I tried to scan the area. The warrior who's guarding the entrance of the tunnel had joined Kairo to fight.

"Are you really, okay?" Jiaro worriedly asked through mind link. I reassured him again as I try to compose myself.

"I'm sorry we couldn't hold the enemies well." He apologized; it was not their fault. The number of our enemies are huge compare to ours so it was expected that they can penetrated us here in the island, it's just that they are to early and we didn't think about that.

"Just wait I'm coming." I just nod in response and tried getting up while cupping my baby bump.

I saw the entrance of the tunnel opened then Liya and Siya came out carrying a bow. Siya covered her sister, she's aiming her bow then shooting it to the closest enemy while Liya run towards me.

"Can you walk?" Liya asked with heavy breaths.

"Of course." I just injured my head because of that Cleo girl. She just waits for me.

Liya supported me while walking until I told her to stop when we reach the entrance of the tunnel. She gave me a confuse look but I just ignored it instead I told her to hand me a piece of fabric and a bow.

"I'll guard."

"What the fvck are you serious--" Her eyes widened.

"Hurry." I said cutting her words.

She hurriedly went inside while Siya and I remain here outside. Siya gave me a knowing look before firing her arrows. There are a lot of enemies so my help is important to at least take some of them down and it's not like I couldn't fight.

Liya handed me a fabric when she returned and I quickly wrap it around my head covering the slowly healing wound. I then grab the bow firing it to an enemy that is trying to attack Kairo. His worried eyes gaze on me before he returns to fight the enemies attacking him.

Siya and I keep on firing the enemy for 5 minutes and I was able to take down 8 of them. Liya already joined us while the people inside the tunnel keep on providing us with an arrow.

I heard a loud growl coming from Jiaro, his ripping apart every enemy who's coming to block his way. When he saw me, he stopped letting out a breath of relief.

I look around to see only few of aggressive males are left but when we thought that the enemy is all killed a horde of males came from the forest in my right side. I heard Jiaro curse and keep on saying to me to get inside but I just ignore him instead I keep on firing my arrows.

This was all unexpected, I thought we would know their strategy base on the information we got from them but no.

All of the aggressive males are on their lycan form, their eyes are huge as if ready to pop out, their saliva are dripping from their mouth.

What makes our warriors different and stronger than them is they know how to defend themselves, in short, they have their mind functioning well. While the aggressive males only know how to attack. They just keep on attacking their enemy without minding their safety.

Two warriors came rushing to us carrying a bunch of explosives. They put all the explosive on the ground near to us and a teen female came out to help us lighting it.

My breath quickened as tiredness hit me.

I pick a small explosive then I attached it to the arrow. I aimed my bow to the horde of aggressive males, the young female lit it before I let go of the string.

A quiet yes came out from me when it explodes in the horde of males killing at least 10 of them. The three of us keep on doing that but we always made sure that Jiaro, Kairo and the other warriors are out of the range of explosive.

The horde of aggressive males is like never ending. We have been fighting for an hour now. There are a couple of explosives left and 10 arrows yet they keep on coming.

My arms are too heavy for me to lift now, but I still try aiming the arrow with explosive to the aggressive males. I shakily let go the arrow and I curse under my breath when it only killed 6 males.

Bunch of corpses are now on the ground of Jiaro and Kairo as they fight the enemy. Their whole lycan body are covered in blood to the point that I couldn't see if they have wounds. I breathed deeply relaxing myself for three minutes before grabbing again my arrow and shooting it to the enemies.

A groan from Kairo made me turn my head to him. He was injured and his now kneeling. I saw aggressive male trying to ripped Kairo's head so I quickly grabbed my gun then firing it to the enemy.

"Thank you Love." He uttered through mind link then he stood up again but now his cupping his injured stomach.

I scan my eyes around and notice that the horde of males are now fewer. I got motivated at what I see so I fire another arrow with explosive killing 15 males.

I sat down on the bloody ground breathing heavily, I need water.

I saw a young boy in the open entrance of tunnel next to me. I ask him for a water and he nod leaving to get some water.

There are about hundreds of aggressive males left and we are now earning the upper hand but my heart ache when I saw two of our warriors lying on the ground dead. They are still on their lycan form and their hands is on fist gripping the dead body of our enemy. My eyes started to heat up.

I felt a poke in my shoulder and I saw the boy handing me a cup of water. I thank him then I quickly drink the water. There are no arrows left and only 2 explosives are left.

I let out a loud shout when someone grab my hair, its long nails pierced through my skin. I used my bow to stab the aggressive male holding me but the wooden bow broke apart due to the hardness of its body.

I heard a curse from the two males and from my peripheral vision they are running towards me. I felt like my hair is already separating from my scalp. Its other hand is on my shoulder pulling me away from the entrance.

I tried grabbing my gun but he pulled me up then he shoved me forcefully to the hard body of a three. I hug my stomach protecting my child from the impact. I prepared for another harsh grab but it was Kairo who gently grab me.

He cupped my face and check the wounds in my body. When he saw that nothing is wrong with me except for the wounds he carried me bridal style going to the tunnel.

"Sleep." He gently whispered to me and due to my tiredness, my eyes constantly closed.
